I have 3 brother-in-laws. One Australian, one German and one American, the latter deceased. They would get together every few years and not once in the past 40 years did I ever seen them argue. Drunk yes, but not argue.
Pedants rejoice..

So the plural of "brother-in-law" (at least in the standard language) is "brothers-in-law", since the plural goes on the bare noun. The possessive cannot be *brother's-in-law; it has to be "brother-in-law's", and that is what native speakers say ("We went to my brother-in-law's house")
In the vows “for better or worse”, this is the worse so it has to get better. Unless the wife has another deadbeat brother.
No need for picking up boxes. The guy never took his household items out of the shipping boxes that the movers supplied during his move. As far as his clothing I can get rid of that in under 15 minutes tops. A couple large lawn trash bags will take care of that stuff. I’ll even help him pack
I’m very serious if the guy plans on pulling some BS. I will throw him out. Then I will make a call to a local charity and donate all his stuff. So far it has been day four of him giving me the silent treatment. That does not bother me. I actually like it that way.
I’m very tempted to razz the guy. Just to find out what he may do. That would not be the best thing to do I would just add insult to injury. Which I am more than capable of doing.
To kick him out, you may need to follow proper eviction procedures even if he has lived there rent-free. Don't b know your local laws.
Get a lawyer. Get a divorce. Get him out. Move on. Your wife doesn't respect you.
Now now. Let us not be hasty here. I think we need pictures of the wife to fully decide on divorce or not.
And why would you need a picture of the wife 😕
