My 145022-69 bought from the original owner came with this box, so I asume it is the original, though it is made in Sweden...!?

What does the hinge area tell you/us?
It was explained in my last response:

the leather covers the hinge on the older boxes - the hinges on the newer boxes are blank.

the box of the OP is of the old type but with broken leather...

Lets make an exhaustive Omega box thread !
As I live in Belgium, the boxes I own are Swiss made and are different from those made for the American market.
You will notice, I am not good at pictures.
Please complete this thread with pictures of boxes you own or information on boxes displayed in this thread.

Old style generic box.
golden line differences different pushers, metal, red painted, covered with leather
this type of box has no writings on the back.
Great idea to document as closely as possible which watches were sold in which boxes! There’s clearly a market for the boxes so helping people know the one their watch belongs in is a great service!

Hi all,
Would anyone happen to know what box would likely have been delivered with a 1938 33,3 CHRO? Many thanks!

The first two are from my Mark II but not sure what watch came in the aluminum box as I acquired it without a watch. Anybody have any idea?

Luckily there's no smell application on the forum so we don't smell these rotten boxes ... as these were never made to last ! 😁

Happened upon this artifact recently. Not mine. Blue velvet with a pale blue satin lining in the lid. Originally for a wrist watch. I’d say somewhere in the 1930s to 1940s decades?
