3 boxes i wouldn't expect to have and which came in with watches i bought here and there, so i adopted them ;o)

... Very cool these 3 boxes .. there is missing the one Kraterbox with the Speedmaster on white background... I have two of them and no flightmasterbox... Could we talk about? ‍♂️

Happened upon this artifact recently. Not mine. Blue velvet with a pale blue satin lining in the lid. Originally for a wrist watch. I’d say somewhere in the 1930s to 1940s decades?

As far as I have observed this particular box was sold only in Canada - most of the boxes which were offered on ebay came from Canadian sellers.

Are we limiting this thread to watch boxes (didn't see this one yet in full for my 1990 Speedie)

or are we allowed to include all the other Omega boxes out there?

Never seen this Speedy box before.
You find that box also in a kind of Black/blue and for the Speedymoon, Holy Grail or 20 years flight qualified.

What is 20 years flight qualified?
How old would you say this box is?
Thanks, Michael

Great thread, I love to see and learn more about boxes. Some are very clear to see to what watch they belong to, but others are more belonging to a time period than to a special watch. Back in time they often took any box when they sold a watch. So you can see the same watch from the first owner with different boxes. When I have more time I definitely have to clear up and make more pictures.

In your opinion the faux wood ones in what period and with what watch were sold?

1965 was the qualification - this LE was produced in 1985-86 😉 are there any of those produced alter than 1986 known?

In 1989 there was another LE of 1000 numbered 345.0808s but with a gilt movement, not copper and that one was 20th Anniversary of Apollo XI

If you mean the wood ones on my picture lower right side, I would guess end 60th to end 70s. But also seen with other watches than speedmaster.

If you talk production ✅ I don’t think they sold and delivered all in 85/86. So I would guess the period for the White and Black Box could be found till 89?!

I own two types of those boxes: one with red interior and one with brown interior.
They also have different top faux wood panel configurations.
Once I have seen the one with brown interior sold with a full set flightmaster.

And not to forget the light blue/grey ones. Yes, I also have seen different ones. Also with different height.

Never seen the light blue ones. Do you mean the ones with aluminum panels? Can you post a pic?

Love this ODC stuff 😁 Thanks for the thread!

BTw I've been looking into box my early 80s 145.022 Speedmaster would've come in. Any photos/info?
Sorry If it has been mentioned in this thread after 5 pages I couldn't keep up with all the goodies, and to search on those terms is impossible.

Thanks in advance!
