Is it worth buying this book? I've heard other collectors say that there are numerous errors in the book?
It is an expensive, 200 USD, reference book, but, maybe I won't ask so many questions in the future, or then again.

Thoughts...

This is where you can get it cheap, delivery costs are a steal.

I bought it recently and it is definitely worth the £. Very interesting read and great reference material.

If you're considering tens of thousands for a watch, a couple of hundred for a book to stop you making a mistake is hardley expensive.

that’s very true, would you say it’s the best book on the topic?

I would suggest starting with @Spacefruit's site, Speedmaster101. For me, it was the best read when getting into Speedmaster's and in understanding the vintage versions and what to look out for.

I then went on to purchase the book to read though the history and goes into greater detail on what to look our for.

I haven't found the vintage grail I'm after yet but I must refer to either resource at least every other week.

It is a great source indeed and one that I have spent a fair amount of time on!

The search goes on and I don’t think it ever stops. Have you made any Speedmaster purchases yet?

I found myself buying the A11 50th, purely by accident as I was planning on buying the standard 1861 moonwatch...

Currently saving again for the next 🤦

Yes... I own a 105.012-66. At the time that I purchased my Speedmaster, myself and the seller were both unaware of the fact that this particular model had two case manufacturers... a slight complication.

But, I now see that a bit of knowledge would have helped at the time. Never too late to learn.
I’m getting the book.

Please do expand, what complications were they? Was it to do the CB and the HF cases?

By the way the patina on your watch is amazing, such a deep and rich shade the markers have turned into.

Definitely worth it. Particularly in the context of a few thousand pound speedmaster purchase!
