Yes, the automatic function's useful. Price wise, they have gone up a bit, caught up with general rising prices for its 'big' brother, the Speedy.
I think Ebay's a good source for the Reduced. You may want to consider some of the Japanese vendors who are established dealers; google and you should be able to find out who they are.
My 1st Reduced - a Japan 'Blue'. Long gone to a better home....

·I like the Speedy Reduced 3510.21 (Panda) so so much, but it is so hard to find one on market, ebay had one in two weeks ago, no box no paper, sold for 36xx USD which is over my budget.
So I am planning to source a 3510.21 dial and swap to another 3510 model, mostly 3510.50 since they are widely available in the market, do you guys think this is a good idea to do so?
the dial is about 800USD, the 3510.50 I will assume about 1500USD

·If you pulled a switch like that, it might not be noticed by some, (namely me). But to those who kmow these watches well and who might notice the dial switch, it's a Franken, and you might find it hard to sell. Unless you include the original dial. Or run into someone like me. But if you like the idea, do it!

I may not care too much about the resell value since this Panda dial is what I liked for many years, I don't mind to keep it forever.
The only thing I concern is where I can find a good watch maker to do the dial swap for me, and since I know the sevice cost of Speedy reduced can be very high, I just hope this dial swap wont cause any problem to the watch.

·R rokI was pining after a speedmaster professional for the longest time but after trying it on and finally coming to terms with the fact that my wrists are damn small my new found love is the Speedmaster Reduced. Not only for it's size, but because it's automatic and just seems perfect for me. Right now my collection is relatively small and I have set aside the funds to purchase a used example. I'm not too concerned with box, etc or even that it's 100% immaculate, I just don't want to get something fake or something that will cause me trouble down the road. I have never bought a used watch so I am not sure where to start. I'd like to stay as close to 1K USD as possible as I'm in Canada and get pounded by the exchange. I also love the panda dialed speedmaster reduced equally to the black dial, with price disparities and availability being the deciding factor. But- where do I buy one. I've been looking at ebay and chrono24 but am not sure how to choose a seller and what the right price to pay for one is. Currently looking at 3510.50s but if the price difference isn't too great I am attracted to the 3539.50 as well. I really don't want to get burned and appreciate any help adding my first pre-owned piece to my collection.

Excellent watch! How large is your wrist?
I have an extremely comfortable amount set aside for this. Budget won't be a huge issue for the right piece. I'd just like to spend a conservative amount considering it's a reduced. From what I gather 1200ish is normal to spend on a decent example? Finding the piece from the right seller is the hard part.

Great watch and I love mine but I cannot see you getting a decent example at that cost as others have said. The budget needs to come up a few hundred more i'm afraid. Especially if you go for the Mk2 (ref 3539.50) which in my opinion is the best version 😁

·I've just sold a lovely Speedy reduced Panda to Canada (I'm UK based) for £1270 through eBay, couple of weeks ago. It was in great condition, not worn much, on orig. bracelet, with orig box & user's manual. Here's the link, hope it helps determining your budget:

·Hi I bought mine for £425 as it was moisture damaged then sent it to Swiss made service centre London who repaired it serviced it and provided a 2 year guarantee at a cost of £423 so £848 for a newly serviced Speedy reduced is great
And I love the watch so much because of the size as I have small wrists and the fact it Automatic completes my collection of 2 here is before and after photos of the Speedy reduced so now I have my 2 favourite watches

·Ahem, I hate to be a party popper and my intent is not to offend, as a matter of fact at one time I really wanted one of the white dialed pandas or the blue dial Japan ones, but my watchmaker talked me out of it because he finds the movements bad quality.
And he doesn't mince his words about them, no point quoting specifically as again the point is not to be inflammatory but since someone is asking for independent advice I had to mention there are adverse opinions.
