Issue With A Seller

What irony are we dealing here? Am I expected to answer all the queries right away? You think it is fair for you to compare me with the seller?
You were the one who asked for advice on the situation and OF members responded. Since the issue was about prompt response from a vendor it is a bit ironic you didn't keep up with the thread or respond to the advice given. Anyway it looks like the vendor has reacted and is fulfilling your order.

I really appreciate the advices and again my apology for the delay in my response to the thread I created. Maybe I just read too much and I got defensive(too much stress). I was just informed a minute ago that from somebody who is from the same place that DHL does business everyday not just 2 days a week the way the seller made me understand.
Thanks and best

So problem (probably) solved then. Good for you.
Not sure about that mate until I received the item. Thanks

If you paid with PayPal I would not be too concerned. You can always get your money back. Paypal sucks for sellers.

Also. yes it is about prompt response but don't you think you are comparing apple and orange? "Seller response vs OP's response"-totally different. Thanks

For me, just me, if I sell something I am 100% responsive until item is delivered and even after that. With the money I take people’s trust and I just cannot brush away that responsibility. It’s not even a conscious effort, it’s a mental glitch.

Equally for me, if I ask anyone for assistance I am 100% on top of my thread. Because it’s rude to tap on someone’s shoulder for help and then not be there when they turn around to help.

So yes, I do see some irony on this thread, and no, I don’t find a 4 day silence justifiable even if sick because if I get sick and know someone is waiting on anything from me I make the “not so superhuman effort” to tell them in advance I am sick and will be delayed. And if the answer to this is “ I have a lot to do, think off or worry about and the sale is just not a priority to me” then sorry man, but you should not be selling anything to anyone unless you can make it a priority. I am sure getting the money was a priority and the seller checked his bank account for it.::facepalm1::

- with the OF browsing, he said it could be his wife as he left his PC on

A wife that browses OFs is definitely relationship goals. Glad you’re getting closer to your receiving your purchase

I'd be in deep, deep trouble if my wife started growing OF. She'd quickly realize the values of all my watches....!

never let your spouse sell your watch at the price you told her it’s worth.

or him, lol 😉

yes! the same applies to both sexes

these are the lines to use for the beginners:

"this old thing? Had it forever..."
"got lucky...snagged it for $150"
"this was an even trade"
"it’s not what it look likes...just a new nato"

Clearly wrote this before finishing the thread. Glad to see the account wasn't hacked and the seller made contact.

Could you tap up a previous 'customer' from OF references and just check the shipping address is common?
This seems like a good approach, especially since there have been cases where the member's account was hacked. fingers crossed this isn't one of those cases.
