yes! the same applies to both sexes

these are the lines to use for the beginners:

"this old thing? Had it forever..."
"got lucky...snagged it for $150"
"this was an even trade"
"it鈥檚 not what it look likes...just a new nato"

yeah, over time it turned into:

"what, this? I've had it for... like.... a couple hours now.. you didn't notice?"
I find that if I laugh a bit, I can sometimes get away with it.

Sometimes you gotta pull out ol' reliable:

"I wanted to surprise you with it" [awkward laugh ensues]

Update on the seller:
Despite not so good on communications, one of the most respected and knowledgeable members here told me that the seller is a very decent and trustworthy guy and I believe him. All I need to do now is be patient( a virtue I don't have) but being hunkered down, I have all the time. Thank you every one for all the advises and guidance.
Best and hope this finds everyone safe and in good health. Don't know what to do with Mothers' Day. Idea anyone?

Glad it seems to be working out. But back to the original point- I don鈥檛 think you were being impatient after 4 days of radio silence. As a matter of etiquette, a seller should maintain regular communication. Unfortunately in our current health crisis, things can go from a mild cough to ICU in a matter of hours so we do need to be a little more tolerant than normal if someone goes dark.
I had a seller go dark for 48 hours after I sent payment for a $50 strap, I didn鈥檛 think much of it other than-huh, wonder if he got my payment.
On day three his wife PM鈥檇 me to let me know he was in the ICU after a bad fall from a ladder and wanted to let me know that she would be shipping my strap on his behalf! 馃槻馃槻 Of course I told her it was the lowest of low priorities, but the fact that he wanted to make sure his sale was honored from his hospital bed....talk about an honorable seller and community member!

I would have loved the same gesture honestly. Doesn't really make sense because all his feedbacks are great. He mentioned when he responded that he was sick for a few days. I hope he is okay. Thanks mate for this.Makes me have that sense of belonging-main reason why I joined this forum. Can be brutal at times but it is all part of being in an amazing community of watch lovers (and addicts. we should all join a "watchcoholic anonymous).;-)
