Bought a Seamaster on eBay. Looked really nice to my amateur eye. Too nice in hindsight. It’s a 1950 by the serial. On further research it’s obviously a re-dial. Few things I’m noticing now: 1) crazy Seamaster font 2) missing Swiss Made at 6 o’clock 3) how tight the Omega logo is to brand.

Oops. I’m sending it back. I had emailed the seller and he assured me it was original. Thoughts? Paid $520.

Do you have a movement shot? Hopefully it’s more accurate than the dial! ::facepalm1::

I have to say this is the most creative interpretation of the Seamaster logotype I have ever seen. Art Noveau, almost.

Wow that is a crazy redial. Sometimes we slip up and pay an old newbie tax. No roast here for you. We all make mistakes and miss things.

Yeah pretty much everyone does this if you don’t do your research and have an impulsive eBay session.

Be glad you got your refund and read the post that was linked above. After reading that you’ll start to notice how many land mines there are on eBay, and what’s worse, how many people are bidding on them.
