Buy the SM300 from the forum or an AD for a nice savings and use the money you saved for a new crystal.

There'll still be enough left over for a nice long weekend somewhere.

Forget the OB. They are only worth buying from for the customer service so once that's gone, so am I.

Well, to start with don't buy the next watch from them.

Also do explain that the work was not done with such care as they evenamaged to damage the screws on the links... And replace them.

Hey guys I already bought the other piece from and it was to late to ask for money back because they linked it. The thing is I dont know why they would say this after they send me to an omega nasa event before and I bought 2 other pieces from them before. They are very nice to me at is the sales man that I got my watch from and the store manager which he wasn't there today so the assistant manager was the one that said they would not be responsible. I am very hurt as I think they made a mistake not taking the responsibility because I am afraid I would not buy my next piece from the boutique. I am now responsible for. What cames to mind after this experience was that the boutique is not about customer relationship and its more about making money. My next watch for sure would be not from the BOUTIQUE. Specially when you have to pay retail. The only thing that they offer is 12 month free financing but so does the AD I am Assuming.

If they can damage the screw heads they are surely capable of scratching the crystal. Sad such a simple task can lead to this. I feel for ya!

I don't think it's too late to return the SM300... You have 2weeks unless it's already lost some 'unworn' conditioning...

This whole thing is so upsetting...
whole boutique model functions on the idea that the watches are emotional objects...and they aim to create a point of sale experience that will transcend any discounts you could get elsewhere...

I Wouldn't play 'hardball' and threaten, but I would leave the sm300 unworn... And give the manager a chance to help make your AT whole... If He can't/won't, then Id explain that the SM now has negative emotion attached to it, and it would affect your enjoyment of it over the years if you had to think about the aquaterra every time you looked at it...

(A little dramatic, but also using their side of the argument... Could they really argue against you feeling emotional about a watch?)

I'm the first one to say that the discounts elsewhere don't make up for Boutique experience ... But when the experience is negative its a different story...

I don't get this. Yesterday you said you where getting the smp today, but today you say you already got it? If you haven't picked it up yet then don't pick it up. Your credit card company should take care of the dispute.

In any event ask for the manager, explain to her the situation and ask her at the very least if she will replace the glass at cost. That may be a compromise, you pay the parts at cost and they do the work. It's strange because of you bought 4 watches fro them already you're talking about a 20g+ relationship and I'm guessing nothing like this has happened before so why would they think you're all of a sudden pulling a fast one on them I don't know. Boutiques get reject and faulty watches all the time. Even after sizing they should take it back. Maybe charge a restocking fee but if you're paying retail even then you'll save money by buying from one of the reputable dealers here in the forum.

When you talk to the manager, and only the manager, focus on solutions rather than blame. Perhaps there's a compromise to be reached...

Thank you Superdoc.
the Assistance manager was the one that told me the won't take the blame, And the store manager wasn't there and he is back on monday.
I think i should wait until monday to call him back. hope there is a chance to fix this at no cost for me. this whole thing dose not make any sense to me that how they are treading me because not only i bought an SM from them but 2 days before this i took my friend in the boutique and he bought a Skyfall 41.5mm from them, I even gave them more business.

Nice set!!! Love your collection. I share a couple of them but the Milgauss and the GMT are catching my eye.

I think maybe you should have waited to pick it up until issues where resolved. That said, I undertand the need to compartimentalize and get that watch in the box.

Try to appeal to the manager, try to find a middle ground. Remind her you are a loyal costumer and even bring added business and that you only want to fix what must be a simple human error. Maybe they can discount you on the next purchase? maybe meet you in the middle? Maybe cover the new glass or exchange the watch? They can probably still sell yours as store display model...

Hmmm...this thread has got me thinking about whether I should've taken my watch back to the AD with a mark on the case back. It was bought brand new but sent back to Omega for warranty work (debris in and around the movement). When it came back, I checked it over but didn't see any problems. A couple of days later, I noticed a very slight gouge at the edge of one of the holes on the case back that are used to screw-unscrew it, clearly from when they had replaced the case back.

I didn't really think anything of it at the time, and didnte want to be without my watch for another few weeks, but now I'm wondering if I should've bothered?

Probably too late now anyway, and I think (hope) the gouge/mark could be polished out come service time.

When I bought my Breitling my bracelt was scratched pretty bad and I didn't notice it until I got home either. Never brought it up and figures I would just have it polished out when it went in for a servicing eventually, but it still bothers me...

This all seems like 1 second of a 2 second story, as in we will never hear the other side. The email seemed genuine and It looks like a "he said she said" scenario. Hopefully they can just replace the crystal?

You obviously trust them since you have continually purchased from them -- I really hope I'm not rooting for the crazy customer here lol!

Awesome collection by the way (regardless of the blinding hairline)!!

Thank you for a great comment of yours. Very kind of you. The butique manager actually is going to fix the watch crystal by sending it back to the service center. And yes I do believe in the boutique I was just disappointed of the whole thing that happened with my Skyfall, But its all well taking care of now. And yes I will buy from the boutique again.

Nima0071,
I am new to the site and have read a number of your posts. I have a Quantum of Solace that I love and found a brand new Skyfall at a AD. Just curious if you had the PO or the AT Skyfall and which one did your friend buy? Lastly if you would share what he paid, these watches are a few years old and just wondering what they are getting for them new.
THANK YOU and glad to hear that you are being taken care of properly. It doesn't matter if you buy one watch or like you many watches it is good to know that the boutique does the right thing for the customer.
