Just a little update
😀 the search is over, but the journey still continues
😁 😒
Finally i decided to go for a 36mm version, as the 39mm didnt feel right.
I found one that was for sale by a local auction house.
It looked nice, although the crystal had a few small nicks at 6 o'clock, and the bracelet was too short.
So we agreed that one bracelet link goes on the house, and if necessary i will pay the 2nd one out of my pocket. The kind sales lady even wrote a note that the nicks on the crystal should be buffed out by watchmaker free of charge. I thought, fine!
The watch had to be sent off to the headquarters and then came the 3 weeks lockdown. So after >4 weeks of waiting finally got the call today.
Well the watchmaker was generous and replaced the crystal (free of charge, yay!). But the new crystal has no laser engraved coronet..

Which is a really weird situation, because they did something, i didnt ask for, and they didnt charge for it, but i am pretty upset i must say..
Now i am not a Rolex specialist, and this is my first one, but i read that all the Rolex crystals from ~2002 onwards have the coronet, dont they?
I told the sales person, that i am not sure if the crystal is genuine Rolex crystal and sent her a photo which i made when i purchased the watch, the coronet was visible there and she told me she will talk to the watchmaker.. So i wonder how this story goes on..
