I had 5 Speedmaster Pro until recently - now just 3 (If I don’t count my Grey Side of the Moon).

In May I gave my son a birth year 1998 Speedy 3572.50 “Hesalite Sandwich” for college graduation, which I bought last year and had serviced this March.

Yesterday I sold my 145.022-74 to help pay for a Rolex Deep Blue.

I still have my 2013 Speedy 3570.50 that was just serviced last year - and I bought the current model big-box to go with it. I have a nice Omega Barenia leather strap with deployant clasp to dress it up when I’m in the mood.

I have a 2005 Speedy 3572.50 “Hesalite Sandwich” with the Mitsukoshi panda dial and silver handset mod, serviced in the summer of 2016. I got a Silver Snoopy black strap with deployant buckle to dress it up, as a nice contrast to the white dial.

And lastly I have a Speedy Tuesday LE1 with the reverse panda dial. It’s on the original leather strap but I picked up a current version screw-link bracelet to switch things up if I’m in the mood for a bracelet.

That's a nice tight trio, covers the main themes of Speedmaster dials.

I started the year with zero (only my graduation gift Seamaster chronograph from 2000) but as of last week 4 Speedies have joined the crew...

Cal 321 (145.012-67)
Cal 861 (145.022-78) - birthwatch
Speedie Reduced (cal 1140)
New 44.5mm Speedmaster Racing (9900 movement)

How all that happened, I'm not sure? Lol. The Seamaster gang also grew too.

Have a trio I’m happy with.
2998-62 (to me the 2998 is the icon, nice when you want more firepower)
Ed White (great daily wearer)
145022-69 with pulsations bezel (mint and bought for bezel really) almost never wear because of the condition.

It would be nice to see a pic of that wonderful trio but that's up to you. 😀

is there a citation for this?

this has always been my defense when arguing with my wife who suspects that i have girls on the side. 😀
Heh no, but that’s why it’s “innocent until proven guilty.”

that’s in the Constitution i think. But it’s a presumption. Not proof. 😀

Right, because you frequently can’t prove you’re innocent. They have to prove you’re not.

@Pazzo

They’re never together, 2 are always in the bank, maybe one day I’ll shoot them as a group.

Won’t leave you with nothing though, here’s a pic I like of the 2998:

Thank you for posting such an amazing example of a 2998-62... probably the nicest I've ever seen. The 2998-62 with the tear drop second hand is one of my grails. I say this with the upmost confidence that your other two Speedmasters are mint too. Wonderful collection.

For the newer members who probably haven’t seen the thread below.......
https://omegaforums.net/threads/1000th-post-stairway-of-speedmasters-thanks-of.30569/

Thank you for sharing Gemini4's absolutely amazing and stunning collection. It redefines the word "collector". I counted 78 Speedmaster watches. I read the entire thread, hoping to find a list of the watches in his collection, but, there was no such list, I did, however, read that the majority are pre-1980 models... astounding. I wonder how many pre-1968 and 2998 are in the collection... I saw quite a few. A true stairway to heaven.
Now I know why it is so hard to find great examples, Gemini4 has them all. Thanks again. Wow!

In answer to the OP's question, I own just one, the Hesalite Moonwatch that I bought this past January. I figured that if I own only one, it should be the "original" (or as close as possible) model.

Why? Do I need more? 🙄

I have a Speedmaster Date, a Mark II, a Mark 4.5 and a FOiS. They are Speedmasters, but completely different watches. So I have 4

What I need in addition is a Pro and a Mark IV. And a little bit later a DSOTM 🙄

I own one: a FOIS purchased earlier this year.
There certainly is a passion for Speedies on this forum. I’m trying to keep my fledgling collection to 10 watches, and I don’t know why I would need another chrono. But I could see myself getting a moonwatch on bracelet one day, either by swapping out the FOIS or as a second chrono.

@Twocats : what are those bracelets you showed with your speedmasters on page 1 of this thread? They look awesome!

While that works against the state, unfortunately that wont work with my wife (who ironically is a lawyer herself).

I feel lucky to have these two: Reference 3572.50 "hesalite sandwich" modified with a Mitsukoshi dial and handset. Reference 3592.50 "hesalite sandwich" with tritium dial and gilt caliber 863. Would love to add a Speedy Tuesday reverse panda to complete a trio very similar to @larryganz
