Hi everyone,

I am some how a watch strap maniac (I guess..;-). I have about 13 watches and change straps frequently (almost every week on a 1/3 of the watches) because I like the changes in appearance and looks, giving me the feeling of owning much more watches...

A lot if times I have been inspired by you guys, flipping thru „WURW“ post every day.

So I wonder if I am „alone“ with that „illness“...

The facts & figures:
- onwing 145 watch straps and bracelets
(not counting the original straps)
- currently owning 13 watches
(10 Omegas, 1 Rokex, 1 Tudor, 1 Fortis)
- Ratios straps per watch = 11.1 strap per watch

How about you guy‘s?

Strap addict here too but mainly leather and a few canvas... I hate Natos as much as I hate bracelets 🙄

Wannabe strap maniac. I have several watches that I consider "strap monsters" but I never pull the trigger on straps because I find something too similar about straps I already have 🤦

I don't buy cheap straps and I tend to either wear the strap that came with the watch (Apollo 8 and 11) or buy one specific one. I'm at something close to 1:1 I would guess. I don't see the point of NATO straps, just don't like them.

I think the OP's 11 straps per watch is extreme, lots of burned cash there unless they are super cheap.

I have a decent amount of straps but every time I change them it’s a gut wrenching moment akin to surgery. Even with tape and a steady hand I’m always thinking I’m going to scratch the lugs. For this reason I don’t change them very often.

I have 20 straps for two watches (10:1 ratio). I’ve had the two watches for the last four years. The straps help keep things fresh. I like to wear the natos (and the Speedmaster replica NASA strap) mainly in the summer. (Most of the natos were <$15.) Leather straps mostly in the winter. This summer I got the white one with leather on top and rubber on the bottom. I really like that strap for warm weather. I rarely use the bracelet that came with the Speedmaster, but I like to have that in the summer or I’m in the mood for an all-metal look. My most expensive strap was from Hodinkee. I’ve got a couple from Worn and Wound. A couple of my leather straps were around $10-$15. I probably change straps 2-3 times per week on the Speedmaster, but I almost always keep the Frederique Constant on the Hodinkee Davenport.

I’m more of a bracelet guy. I have maybe 2 leather straps that I rotate between my watches and a few NATOs from Phenomenato.

I recently added a Speedmaster back into the collection, so I’m looking to add a few more quality leather straps to the collection.

Most of my current collection of 15 watches are on mostly leather straps, I probably have 30 or so extra straps including rubber and fabric. I make my own leather ones as well as buy them from Tuns Store in Vietnam. Making them gives me an almost unlimited potential supply, just depends on what leathers I have or can order from Rocky Mountain Leather Supply.
