@Bobby j stop speculating on people’s reasons for commenting and throwing accusations that people (me) did it to get their post count up and have their voices heard.

This may be an alien concept to you, but you posted for help and I tried to help. I’m sorry I missed that the font on your watch was incorrect but we’re all human and I corrected my mistake shortly thereafter.

I still think you need to accept that there are uncertainties with vintage watches, particularly when poor quality pictures are all we have to go on.

No regardless of the picture quality I admit I should’ve notice straight away that the dial had different fonts to those usually seen on these dials, but all your concerns around the hands, polishing etx are common, subjective issues seen in vintage watches. Particularly those with low production runs.

I do accept that but I have also found one identical to it sold years ago it's different serial number and not one person has admitted they might possibly be wrong I accept that also

With small production run dials anything is possible but these aren’t so rare. They show up every few months and I’ve never seen one with that type face. The quality also doesn’t appear to be up to Omega standards.

Hi res pictures would help.

You know what I didn't receive? I received no information at all. No facts.
This is completely untrue. People have gone out of their way to give you the benefit of their experience and have presented you with facts. For example, you now know what a serif is.

You’re not the first poster here who’s shown up with something that wasn’t the rare find they were hoping for. You have, however, distinguished yourself with your conduct, solicitous and friendly when you hear what you want to hear, then instantly dismissive and insulting when you don’t. Maybe the mods will heed your demands to erase this thread but there is actually a lot of value here, both in the resources that have been provided and as an example of how not to behave on a public forum.

Regardless of behaviors on either side of the conversation, I agree that the thread has value and should remain for anyone looking for more information about this rare/not-so-rare model in the future.

I think the differences in the Railmaster font, and the serifs are very telling, but better pictures would help immensely. Hopefully, it will arrive soon and you will be able and willing to share some photos.

Wow, how did I miss this thread. Very rare to find someone who is such a glutton for punishment.

No more rare than somebody that puts in their two cents worth and gets change back

You cannot, but the mods can do that for you. Alternately, you could just stop responding. If you no longer wish to receive notifications for this thread, go to the top right of the page where it says "Unfollow" click that, and unfollow the thread.

Me too, thinking of watches being vigorously shaken do you think it wiser to wear Railmaster rather than a Speedy for lawn mowing?

Riding the rails had to be a lot of vibrations per second, might be something to look into 😁

Railmaster if you are a linear mower back and forth, Speedmaster if you start at the outside and work in a snail pattern towards the center

Great input, impeccable logic, think you have hit nail on the head. Maybe a Tintin for the centre?
