#15983 checking in! (Highest number yet?)
Looks like they’ve still got a few left… go get ‘em!
#15986 checking in…. New high # I believe?

Bought today (see 2 posts above) at the new SF OB. They say it is the last new one anywhere in the US according to their internal inventory system but I always take that kind of info with a grain of salt.

I am sure there is a new one or two floating around at AD’s and more than a couple in Grey inventory. But those prices keep going up so buying at an OB actually made sense on this one. Plus a few extras were thrown in; an extra FOIS strap (which is a great add IMO) and the normal Omega trinkets.

Great pickup, and congrats on the find!

I love mine. Spent a very pleasant hour or so recently at an IWC event at a local AD and got some quality time (!) with the new Speedies and even an EW321 that belonged to the owner -- and fielded a good few questions from other aficionados there who hadn't seen the FOIS and were quite struck by it.

Great watch for today, and a future classic (IMO) -- what's not to love?

Congrats and wear in good health. A bonus FOIS strap is great if you ever decide to sell it later on because you can then say it "comes with original strap" and it's in brand new condition.

Great to see that the OB actually has a variety watches that you can try on and purchase on the spot, unlike a certain other watch brand. 😗

Hi everyone, relatively new FOIS owner here in Australia. Love seeing everyone’s posts and how much they love their watch too. I was wondering if I could ask some advice. What springbar tool do people recommend? I figured the best place to ask was this community. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Hey, congrats and welcome to the club!
I used the springbar tool from a cheap watch repair kit off Ebay and it worked fine. Just make sure you practice on a cheap watch first. Most people here seem to like the Bergeon brand. This thread might help you:

By the way, 1,5mm less tall with this caseback.
Huge improvement.
Before

After
That is a big improvement. Details on the caseback?

I passed through Dubai duty free on Friday and the Rolex display had three watches in each one that normally has place for 20+ watches. The sales guy told me that people are buying anything at all and 90% of buyers did not even know the name of the model they were purchasing prior to him telling them.

Rolex in the Dubai Mall was worse as they had nothing for sale. At least Patek Philipe was willing to sell me a ladies Twenty-4 (square) on the spot.

Dubai airport duty free is awesome. Pretty much 10% discount on Omega watches compared to MSRP before even trying to haggle. This was back in 2019 though.

No doubt about it, there's a Rolex speculative bubble right now. Sounds like people are just buying up whatever they can get their hands on in the hope that they can later make a profit.

Thank you to everyone who replied with advice. I appreciate it!
Best advice I can add is to not get frustrated. Some times taking a strap off is a breeze some times you just can't catch the little sucker... As others have said practice on a cheap watch first if you have one. When it comes time to try on the FOIS just take your time, walk away if you can't get it right away.

Hello, all,
Is there any rumor for a new Fois the following year for the celebration of 60years of Wally Scirra (3rd October 1962)?

I've heard that the 'replacement' for the FOIS is essentially the steel 321 'Cernan.'
