Just received a new Forstner President for my FOIS. Initial impressions are that it's very nicely made. Hoping to get it fitted when I have some time later in the week.

Did you modified your second hand?

Nope. I love her just as she is. This is simply the justly famed hyper-legibility of the bone stock FOIS… 😉

I think I’m going to swap for a bracelet. What’s the highest quality option available?

My Omega bracelet came in.
To echo others, would you mind sharing which bracelet and end link references these are? I think it looks great.

A bit off topic right now but I just noticed this marking on the bottom right corner of the outer cardboard box of my FOIS:

Does anyone here know how to decipher it? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I’m 99% certain it is simply the part number for the black box the FOIS comes in. That black box comes in *this* cardboard box:

My 321 was mailed to me by the OB, and came in a box like the one above but with the part number for the regular “big box.”

The OB’s have all these presentation boxes “in the back,” and receive the watches themselves in little plastic coffins - when the watch is sold, they take a presentation box off the shelf, insert the watch, etc.

I believe that would be the original Omega bracelet which comes from the Ed White 321. Costs a bomb but would look awesome. From what I hear, you'll need the end links from the Forstner flat link bracelet for it to fit properly. See link below:

Awesome, thanks for the link. I just inquired about the bracelet, OB has several in-stock. May pick one up and hack this combo together.

Between Seiko and Forstner. Anyone have a preference?

I would say Forstner 1450. Even I have US 1450, one solid end link was very difficult to install (maybe you won't have that problem) and I also prefer "H" Forstner end link. I have Forstner flat link and was much easier to fit.
On the other hand, US is almost the same, cheaper, and you can install Omega clasp covers easily.

#15983 checking in! (Highest number yet?)

Fell in love with this watch this spring at an AD. Was surprised to see it still for sale on the official Omega website, so I pulled the trigger. Looks like they’ve still got a few left… go get ‘em!

For a second I thought this was my post!

How I usually take wrist shots in my Volvo haha. I think I need more coffee.

Here’s mine, slightly different angle 😀

Congrats and welcome to the club. Looks like you've got the highest LE number (for now). We're all still waiting on who's got the magical #16000! 😁

The watch shows how long it took me to install the bracelet from start to finish. Well worth it. I have not taken the watch off since (four days).

Congrats -- looks great, and can't beat the comfort.

I've found it a real pain to install the 1450, and put it back on the strap to take stock and then try again when I have more than 20 mins to focus. Found the flat link easier, but the end links seemed to have a bit more play.

I really got a hard time with my 1450, but Uncle Seiko.
Forstner Flat link was smooth as butter.

Yes, the Forstner flatlink was a doddle by comparison. The tolerances seem a bit tighter on this new 1450, which is fine, but makes installation a bit trickier, for me anyway. I may actually go back to the flat link.
