What do you know for certain about this watch? What research have you done? I have never seen that bezel on a Tudor. The Tudor rose is unlike any Tudor logo I have ever seen, and it’s placement is strange. Show us what is inside the case.

It seems the “big rose” logo is legit, but the bezel somehow seems odd to me.

Here is a similar bezel on a couple watches that came up after searching the ref. OP provided.

It's difficult for my noob eye to make out the condition of OP's bezel from the pictures provided, but to me it looks like it's likely seen significant polishing that has removed the sharpness of the bezel facets.

I have found it very difficult to find a ‘big rose’ with this fluted style bezel.

I’m not sure though if that is because both bezel type and rose motif are rare and super rare together.

I am not a Tudor expert but that big rose where the 12 marker should be is hideous.

I’m not a Tudor expert but I love vintage Tudor/Rolex pieces and have spent quite a bit of time looking at them. I would avoid it and here is why-

There seem to be some large inconsistencies with this with the dial/case/hand/indice combo. There are several variations with the Big Rose watch and it seems the one in the OP image is a mixture of all of them with a fluted style bezel (way over polished I might add) as an added bonus. The reference of 7966 only pulls up a smooth bezel. I have seen that fluted style bezel but paired with a small logo. This is what the typical 7966 looks like.

The shape of the indices and the hands look like the above images. There was a version of the big Rose where the indices look like the OP’s but they were paired with lume dots and lumed hands.
Edited to add- and I don’t see lumed anything in the OP pics

To me it just seems like this watch has seen much better days and is a “best of” collection of varying parts. I would avoid it.

another example here from the UK. Bezel / Dial combo same as OP, except black dial. Not so sure on that handsetb though.

I don't really see anything odd in the configuration with the OP's pictured watch.

Recently picked up this one. Damage is to the crystal. Enough old grime and mud on it to convince me it’s as it was! 3rd photo is another example. Gilt dial is amazing, circa 1959. Ops is perhaps newer without the ref number on the caseback?

'Big Rose' Tudor Oyster PrinceDate with fluted bezel ref. 7966.

What does Omega Watch forums think?
it s possible no lume dial and no lume hands belong to watch s original configuration. would like to see inside...
