·I've been wanting to pick up an older model Ex2 with a white dial. Somehow, it always ends up number 2 on my next to get watch list. I'd hate to wait and then they jump up to 6-7k on the used market. That would be unamazing.

I have the polar 42mm because I already have a speedy pro for a black dial watch. I love the polar dial, especially for summer wear, but your pictures always make me second guess my decision.
As a pair, I love my watches. For only one, I may have to go with the black dial exp2.
Just to scare the crap out of everyone out there, Explorer IIs came up in conversation this morning. A chap listening in said he bought one yesterday. A year old, black face, from a well known UK AD ... and he paid £9000.
