Yeah, I just don’t get that one. Why let play go on for 10 seconds and then raise the flag that we all knew should have gone up? Other than that, I think they’ve done really well with the officiating/ VAR
On the other hand I always hated defenders raising their hand, signalizing the offside and not defending anymore. So many unnecessary goals have been scored because of this. Now they know they have to keep playing. And they do. But yes. in some cases the offside is so obvious that not raising the flag immediately doesn't make sense at all.
Never in the history of the sport has it ever worked… the beeeeeatches need a green card…which means ‘you are suspended and have to play 3 games of rugby before you can come back on the football pitch’. That ought to sort them…I wouldn’t say ‘unnecessary’ goals…always nice to see netted balls 😀 (pun not intended)…
Whilst we are in the topic of things we dislike about the sport: how about all those egotistical primadonna footballers who foul mouth and shout at the ref/linesmen as though they are going to make them change their decisionNever in the history of the sport has it ever worked… the beeeeeatches need a green card…which means ‘you are suspended and have to play 3 games of rugby before you can come back on the football pitch’. Congrats to England supporters! I don’t remember when England beat Germany on final tournament if ever? Interesting that all qualified teams from the group of death (GER, FRA, POR) are out just after the first play-off round.
Belgium - Italy will be super match in quarterfinals.

Arrgh...
Finally had a chance to catch a match on replay: England v Germany on ESPN News. The broadcast cut away after the 1st half and never came back for the 2nd. Rat bastards!
1966 was the last time England beat Germany in a tournament. Also happens to be the last time England won a tournament.
The exciting thing about these completions is that you have to bring your A game to every round. Well done England, who knows, they might even get a spot in the final.
The creaky old Belgium defence was, as predicted by many pundits, caught out again. Shame really, as they can be an exciting team to watch going forward. The Azzurri are looking unstoppable though, it’s going to be hard for any team to beat them with their momentum.
Well Austria nearly did it
Italy deserved their victory, however I don't like the fact that they roll around on the floor for an hour if a hair gets blown out of place by a breeze. Italy,Spain France, all good at making the most out of nothing and calling it the dark arts of football. Its cheating and dishonest and should be stamped out with a yellow card for every offence. There was a player towards the end, rolling around in the penalty area and when Italy scored, he got up and started doing back flips. Cheating bastard.
