This is the doorway to our loft: turning the lights off on the way out, getting through the door, and past the wall, surrounded by brick--it's like a sniper's alley. I don't mind scratches to the crystal, there are ways to take care of them--but two bezels already got picked off by the wall. In four months.

Let's see pictures of your domestic danger zones, maybe it'll make me feel better?

I have two domestic danger zones as subtle, cunning and deadly as each other. Both catch You unawares and are equally devastating
The first located in my garden, which looks innocuous at first glance, but has caused many accidents at the end of a long night

The second is the wife when she discovers I have bought “yet another watch” which I apparently don’t need 🙁. Good job she doesn’t know the cost as well 😜

These nasty, rusted scaffolding screws are ubiquitous in my life. Hesalite killers.

Yeah, these can be dangerous to watches... I usually find myself climbing on them on days when I thought I would be in the office, and thus I am wearing a watch I otherwise would not have worn that day... Swing stages can be even worse, since you are usually very close to the building face and if you have to walk a little to look at things while repeatedly over tool bags and extension cords it is a matter of when, not if, there will be some contact with an abrasive or hard surface.

I work in auto dealerships as a parts director so this is a bit of an exaggeration, but there are Danger Zones EVERYWHERE. Depending on what I need to get done at any time I leave my watches in my locked desk and put back on once I am done with that task.

Over exaggerated photo 😲:

I’d put pictures in but every goddamn thing I come across is a danger zone. Even if I am totally focused on no scratches and protecting my watch, it finds a scratch or a ding.

If I wear my Citizen Eco-drive or Seiko they are as safe as in your mothers arms. Wear my DateJust or Seamaster and I'm running into every door jam or obstacle you could imagine.
