I also get very curious when i see a watch in a movie and search what that actor or actress wears in that movie. That was so fantastic to see that Ryan Gossling was wearing a vintage gold Omega Constellation in city of stars.

This is what I do when I see a watch in a movie. I've got a collection of these images now, and my wife (bless her heart) tolerates me stopping the movie immediately and capturing the best frame for a photo.

Nutty, right?

You guy really need serious treatment!!!

both: Streets of San Francisco, Season 2 , 1973 😀

If there are any Twin Peaks/David Lynch fans here - I’m currently watching Season 3/episode 7, where Deputy Brennan is shown wearing something that you just know is going to be plot-relevant... 🍿

Looks like they pulled out the crown to set that specific time, so i agree it must be a plot point.

It gets worse. Watching A View to a Kill this past weekend, during one of the blimp scenes I noticed the pilot wearing an 1171.

The watch itself wasn't shown. I identified a bracelet.

Was during this sequence, though it doesn't show up in this clip.

So tell me how you stop strangers and ask about their watches, being a Londoner I struggle to know how... it's a fine line

Agreed! I live in Detroit, and this could get me shot! (Luckily, my EDC includes a Seecamp. LOL)

There's a great scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indy looks down to see the time on his Movado Polyplan.

I don't take pictures but I often pause movies to look at the watches, cars, or guns on the screen.

I pause the films all the time too, driving my wife crazy 😁
Unfortunately my 720p projector on a 100" screen does not give the sharpest image, so most of the times it's really difficult to take out what watch it is.. therefore that's usually followed by a google break for me as I can't rest until I found out (and a pee break for the wife til I do so)
My latest spotting happened to be a Speedy in War Dogs. No matter how blurry, I'd probably spot one from a 100 miles. From a moving plane. In dark.

So now it's to the point that I take repeat pictures from the same movies. Took this one last night and then realized I already have one from last time I watched it.

Yes Darling, this is my Submariner.....
I remember seeing Live and Let Die with my dad in 1973... it was my first Bond movie at the theater, but I was far more interested in Jane Seymour than the Submariner or Bond. 😉

I can't believe I'm the one who gets to post this gem:

pulp-fiction
Sadly, I know where that watch had been, so I try not to remember it. 😉
