This is what I do when I see a watch in a movie. I've got a collection of these images now, and my wife (bless her heart) tolerates me stopping the movie immediately and capturing the best frame for a photo.

I do the exact same thing brotha, and my wife just makes fun of me haha or when I stop strangers in public and talk to them about there watch.

Being an uncouth redneck, it's real easy for me...you just compliment them on their watch and strike up a conversation.

 

Its very easy for me as I sell watches for a living haha but I always just compliment them on whatever piece they are wearing then it turns into a long conversation on how they got it and the history of it

I love that you do that. I mean yeah you're nutty but we all are.
When we watch TV my gf asks me now "what watch is that?" 'cos she knows I'm thinking it.
I also like spotting the continuity errors. Loads of those in House Of Cards and I think I spotted one in Mad Men the other day.

 

As a Brit I struggle too but whenever I ask I'm always glad I did.
Said "nice watch" to old man working in M&S. it was his first day on the till. It was a GMT 1675 and he said it had only been off his wrist once since he bought it new in the early 70s. For one service.
One watch man.
