Brands you've never heard of

I'm doing my best at the start of my next aging decade to be the type of man to admit he doesnt know some things. As such, I must admit: I never knew about Serica until today.

Wondering if any of you have experienced the brand? This piece caught my eye and could be a fun little weekender. And for the first time, I kinda like the white dial (I'm a dark dial guy, and even only just ordered my first blue dial just a couple weeks ago).

What say you? What are some brands you have recently discovered or that you remember finding out about that intrigued you?

That does look like the best execution of endlinks for a Milanese mesh I have seen yet.

I’m kinda digging these Halios. Really don’t know much about them, I know they have Canadian roots, ETA’s and sell out quickly. I’ve seen a few models that look very nice.

Hemel watches is another micro I recently stumbled upon. They do a nice modernization of the A11 style complete with coin edge bezel

Saw this brand pop up on my Facebook feed and I was immediately intrigued: Farer Watches
"British design with Swiss engineering"
I was looking for a mechanical watch with GMT function that is more affordable and more available than a Rolex GMT2. Their "Maze" has the same functionality and better water resistance, but at a fraction of the cost. Movement is Sellita SW330 based.

Cool looks. 1290 Euros.
What is this?

Presumably Newton by SOPROD.
Their entry level grade R7 is +/- 7 in 3 positions, this one looks like top grade R4 = 4 sec/day +/-4 in 5 positions

I think what grabbed my attention was the two-tone bezel. I've never seen such a thing. Typically the only two-tone approach I've seen is dial v sundials or just dial v bezel. The crown also seems to be an excellent proportion to the case which was thoughtfully polished hither and yon. Never really cared one way or the other for Milanese bracelets, but it suits the piece. Also, the lollipop sweep hand is attractive

How about brands you might have heard of from the vintage world, but had no idea they were still making watches?

Yema's Superman reissue is absolutely wonderful, 39mm x 13mm thick including the domed crystal.

And while the Mido Decomp took everyone by surprise last year, they've got a whole line of well-designed and reasonably priced divers in the Ocean Star line.

I own versions of both of these and they're awesome.

Only coz I just bought one.

When I first came across the Titoni watch brand I was in China in 2013 and my first reaction was another fake "Swiss" brand as so often happened in the isolation of days past in China but my wife insisted it was real and indeed it was the second largest selling high priced luxury watch after Rolex! but in the west you could hear a pin drop at the mention of the name. The stores for just this brand were huge where I was compared to what I was used to seeing in the west, a real eye opener.

Here is what my new to me looks like

If you look at their range they have some interesting models top of which that interest me is the New Seascoper 600 dive watch which sports their own in house automatic T10 Calibre with 32 jewels and a 70 hour reserve. ( this image copied off the net)

Their new Navygraf MN in blue is beautiful... I even prefer the lady version with the white bezel too
