UG caliber 140 - I have never heard of that one?

mmm, I would say these watches are put together and not original, aka fakes!
To solve the issue once and for all we would need shots of the case backs, inside and outside, so to see if they are indeed UG cases (from both the serial numbers as well as the hallmarks).
The shape of the cases doesnt look UG, also the dials, given the shape of the logo and brushed finish, would be from end of 50s/60s (I say would because I don't think they are legit either) but the Valjoux 22 is a caliber used in much earlier chronographs...

That's my feeling also. I liked the case and dial but got turned off when I saw the movement. No case number on the case back, just a serial number on the inside.

if you know the serial number post it here and we can judge whether it could be a proper UG serial number or not, but if there are no all marks that is not a UG case. I would stay clear of them!

hoping to revive this thread as I came across the Uni Compax post on chrono.

Consensus seems to be the case, dial and movement seem to be odd combinations together to lean everyone toward authenticity. Here's a link to a medico-copmax that seems pretty similar and has the same movement.

And some case back pics if helpful in the current chrono posting
