Timex was challenged on why they went with Ronda in their American Documents line. Their comment was that Ameriquartz was unproven, or something to that effect. 5 year warranty I think addresses that issue.
It’s interesting isn’t it? I’m not an anti quartz dude as a matter of fact I like having a few on hand as I don’t have a watch winder and sometimes you get ready for the day before you are awake and messing about with an auto is mentally taxing if you, or me at least, forget to prepare the night prior. This watch has an interesting story behind it.

I'm tempted by this one... Even though it got a date window!

Ps: I understand it is a brand everybody has heard of... But this is just reviving an old model by some enthusiasts
Kind of cool did you get one looks like they are moving.

Holy cow! Never thought about a doorknob for a crown 😝::stirthepot::
True to the reference ;-)

What model is that reviving, exactly?

Not yet... Brain and heart are still debating

Yes I know that dilemma they were a couple that really caught my eye some popping out of this thread but you just can’t get everything. I think I’m already close to hitting my max on the year unless i sell a couple things and I really have a hard time doing that

That's less a revival and more an extremely faint similarity in basic shape.

It is obviously a question of perspectives and contemporary influence... Call it a modern homage if it suits you better 😉

I hear you... And not sure there is a winner in that scenario

The watch barely resembles what it's trying to "revive". More fair to say the watch was "loosely inspired by".

Sure, fair enough... A modest proposal maybe

Did you get the Farer? I’m also in the market for an “inexpensive” GMT for travel (once it resumes) and have been staring at this Farer for two months. Would live to hear the feedback if you got one.

Check out Zelos and their Horizon line.

Anyone familiar with this brand. Interesting history with a link to Auschwitz. Could have the wrong camp lost the link but have the watch. Advertised as a USA made quartz movement. At the time the article was printed they were in the 299.99 price range. I’ll dig up the info but a pic will suffice for now
Buchenwald, Theresienstadt. A humbling story here

Nice looking watch - thanks for posting!

I was going to jump on the orange Hammerhead last month, but I needed to buy a meteorite for my brother-in-law. Of course, the orange sold out in two minutes, while the meteorite took two weeks...
