Seiko 5 beater watch and some straps for it. I've been loving some of the orange dials on the WRUW thread and wanted to jump in. Watch seems solid enough, but the bracelet was as bad as I've read. It's already on the rubber rally strap. I like the look of divers on old school mesh (Milanese?) bracelets. Any suggestions for a good brand, but not too good since it's going on a $150 grey market Seiko 5.
Steinhart Ocean One 39. Ordered Wednesday afternoon, and received it in less than 48 hours from Germany!
From the local flea market, a very nice unpolished Tissot Visodate Seastar PR 516 GL "Turler" from about 1969
The Seamaster arrived today and it looks fantastic! I took a few close-up pics in the hopes that someone in the group could make an educated guess on its authenticity. Again, I have no reason to doubt the seller. He has 2200 positive reviews on eBay and zero negative feedback. He's called me several times to discuss everything from watches to his dating life & he's sent me several videos of his other watches and his home. But still, it can't hurt to ask. One thing that caught my attention is the tiny blue dot on the case back (I circled it) I remember reading that Omega does that to tell if the watch was opened by anyone other than a certified Omega specialist. Anyway, if anyone can offer any insight I'd appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
Looks 100% legit. Additionally,to answer your question..https://omegaforums.net/threads/wha...-on-my-new-speedmaster-pro.24882/#post-275497
That's great to hear! It came with a box and papers including this card from a service it received by Omega in 2015 so that lines up with what was said in the link you shared.
Don't laugh.... Linden travel alarm clock Japan looking for more information.....purchased for $1 at Goodwill
It’s old. Don’t want to move it much however it does work. Apparently used last or date updated last on Nov. 1974 by the date band
Was trying to resist but in the end I gave in . Very quick delivery and extremely happy with quality. Baltic Aquascaphe Blue Gilt with beads of rice bracelet and rubber strap
Yeah yeah yeah... I know what you are gonna say and frankly I don't give a damn. I think it's cool and excited for its arrival, even if it is the equivalent in the car world of buying a 'duck boat'.
Please share some wrist pics when it arrives! I'm still very intrigued by this model. I don't know about you, but I often find myself falling for under-loved designs for some reason.
I convinced myself that in 20 years people will be pissed they missed out...the odds of that reality is sub 10% but we all rationalize these types of purchases somehow
