Could not resist this one. Putting it in as the modern dive watch of my core collection. 1 More modern and 4 vintage to go until the core collection is done. 😎

Great collection, but give me your secret, how are you going to restrict your collection to 8 watches?

I have over 40 and I cannot get myself to sell any of them. I guess you are a collector and I am a hoarder, 🤔🤔😉

Notice that @Jwit has called it the core collection. Nothing has been said about the non-core collection (which could be a hoard) 😜

Precisely. You have just made me see the light, I guess I have been a non-core collector all along, now all I have to do is decide on a core collection, to clear my name.

I actually discussed it In this thread https://omegaforums.net/threads/one-year-on-omega-forums.62428/

But have made a couple changes. Obviously this Seiko instead of a Squale 1521, and instead of just “tritium Dial Speedy” I’m leaning towards a MK40 assuming they don’t skyrocket in price too soon.

Pretty sure you have first dibs on this

Can remove dibs if it doesn't make the list in the thread you linked above 😗

Spot on mate!

The core collection is just to give me some focus and direction in collecting. Less impulse buys and to cover all the bases once finished. I felt 8 watches is a solid base... certainly more sane that being a one watch guy (do they really exist?😒)

Oh no I would very much to keep my first dibs😁. A few distractions are allowed and this distraction is encouraged 🥰🥰🥰, and worst comes to worst I could sub it in somewhere in a vintage slot... if I’m forced to “rationalize” the purchase 😗

The two-tone lume is seriously cool.

Bought a while ago but since it was shipped from Hungary I wasn't sure it'd even get to me here in the US.

Seamaster 2937-1, Cal 267. The larger 36mm really gives it nice wrist presence... The two tone dial is very, very pleasant. The uncommon crosshair on a recessed subsecond dial had a bunch of people scratching their heads but consensus was that it checked out (and it looks cool too!). Thanks to those who helped out!

Today (or rather yesterday) I went all stereotypical and bought a Rolex to commemorate the birth of my son:

Should be robust enough to hand down to him in a few decades time!

I received my POBEDA wristwatch recently and it cleaned up nice. One reason i got it was the cool factor of the tiny sub second hand. Truth is though the only real purpose the hand serves is to let you know that the watch hasn't stopped running. This dial doesn't even have a sub dial, just the tiny crosshairs that are much thinner than anything I've seen yet. The Russians seem to have gone in for extremely thin second hands as well , the hand is very small all the way around. Very hard to pick out on this art deco dial.

PS,
Two toned dials seem to be a European thing. I like it myself. The dial of your watch may have been a special order.
