Mexico was always a huge market for Omega, particularly around the time of the Olympics there in 1968. I've seen many special boxes with the Olympic logos.
It was a special treat to see that watch up close and personal last week in AC.
Thanks,

I didn't know that, there seems to be many black dialed Omegas coming from Mexico or popping up on the bay from sellers from time to time. I've always been a little suspicious but I guess that's why!
Most of the information on the extract one can find out either through the Omega Vintage Database, or on forums like this one. As MSN pointed out, the only information that Omega provides that isn't in the public domain is the country of original sale.
The only time I needed extract information was when I was researching whether a cal. 352 watch I owned was one of a batch of 1,000 consecutive chronometers that passed the official examination in 1949.

Other than that, I think it is a waste of money,

Strange that Dave's is so lacking. Both mine have more info - posted pics in this thread:
Yes, but how much of that information did you provide? Three pictures -- of the inside of the caseback, movement and dial, would give Omega all of the extract info except delivery date and country. That's all you are really paying for.
Well, maybe there's the fancy envelope, wax seal and postage,
