AR Coating Scratches on Seamaster

I wear my green Seamaster very often. AR wasn't really a buying point for me and I didn't know it was applied to both sides. I thought Omega stopped outside AR some years ago. I haven't noticed any scratches, don't really look for them, and don't treat the watch any different.

AR is unecessary on the outside for a proper dive/tool watch which is what Seamasters used to be. Last 3 great Seamasters in my opinion were the small wave dial 2220.80 and 2254.50 which both had AR on the inside only. The 1st gen PO was also great but unfortunately had AR on both sides, many owners remove the outer side. The best of the modern Seamasters is the Bond 60th anniversary which also only has the AR on the inside.

The SM300 is inside AR only as well. It may not appeal to everyone But I really like how it manages to hit That classic "tool but dressy" look, as opposed to being primarily sporty.
