Here are a few US issued watches from WW2 both Elgin. A Elgin A-11 and a Elgin Ordnance watch with snap back case both are in great condition. The A-11 was issued to air crews the Ord watch to soldiers on the ground.

My dad and his crew and winter operations in Alaska. He went to a warmer climate when he went to Avenger torpedo aircraft later in the war. One thing a lot did in WW2 was lie about their age to join my dad was 16 years old. A different generation than today were the US military have a hard time getting anyone to enlist today when I joined the US Navy, we had three Navy boot camps double the ships and bases the cold war was hot and no draft and they had no problem getting recruits now we have half that and only one navy boot camp and get no one to enlist. Maybe the new generation care less about their country kind of sad.

Now here is a cool little watch got it years ago when collectors did not know nothing about it. Saw it at a NAWCC mart saw it for sale for 6 months most thought fake. I got it cheap due to that posted at the MWR forum and they were stumped by it. Latter a member there found RAF paper records of the watch it turned out legit. Has a 1940 issued date so battle of Briton going on so it probably has some cool history with this watch. Has a Waltham 870 movement and a Denison case when Waltham was formed Denison was a partner but later went to England to become a case maker. So it's like the two came back together for WW2. A rare watch only seen about 5-6 on the forum and for sale. You can say the first Waltham to enter WW2 service.

Some great military watches so far. Keep 'em coming!
Just wondering if anyone out there has some WW2 German fliegers. Laco, Stowa, IWC etc. Would love to see an original IWC "big pilot" watch.

Here is a civilian Clock has US Maritime Commission on the dial. These were on Liberty ships during WW2. Life could be short on these they were the targets German and Japanese submarines wanted to get. They supplied the ammo the tanks and all the equipment that help the US help win WW2. If anyone lives in the bay area check out the SS Jermia Obrien one of two left. Use to volunteer on it when I lived in the bay area my boss at work Rich got me to do it. Once when that ship had WW2 volunteers, they got this ship underway to go to England for a D-Day anniversary it's one of the last ships that was at D-Day. Link below. Found this in Montana of all places far from the sea.

Some WW2 weapons

Nice collection you got there. Especially like the M1 carbine as it's quite a unique weapon using an unusual cartridge.
Where I am in Australia, our gun laws are pretty strict so trying to collect firearms is more trouble than it's worth.

Pictured below are military items that hold significant sentimental value to me…my original brass naval aviator wings and my original dog tags…

The naval aviator wings pictured above are the ones that Dad pounded on my chest on 03JUN88 at NAS Whiting Field…and he gave me “blood wings” which was pretty cool. Mom can be seen in the lower left of the pic…she was not too happy about the “blood wings” evolution…but she got over it…

I still have my original flyers kit bag from active duty. I continue to use it for all sorts of stuff…gym bag, skateboarding equipment bag, laundry bag, blah blah blah. In the pic below from 2021, I used it to haul a month’s worth of clothes during B-737 training at the Delta school house in ATL…

Went to Aero Leathers in Galasheils last year to get measured for a jacket and they have an extraordinary collection of vintage military flight and dispatch rider jackets along with historically accurate reproductions.

I used to build model kits a lot when I was a kid. Mostly WW2 aircraft and tanks. My skills were never as good as yours though. Love your military watches as well, especially the Omega. I'm guessing it's UK military issue?
