Only if you find a stupid buyer with more money that sense.
In today's vintage watch madness, there are plenty of those...stupid enough to try to sell and buy

I just posted to see if anyone saw this on the Facebook market. I’m not looking to buy, hope some one else snags this watch.

Ah right, be good if you explained this in the first place, was there an asking price on FB market place?

Let the games begin, is it legit or a made up UM??

Well would be nice to know who grabbed this one finally.

The watch on Fb was seen one about 150 times in marketplace and the seller told me there was plenty of people interested lately. But was not willing to show the movement so I passed... Did anyone bought and ultraman for 10k?????

I had a long talk with him...

It was legit...but I couldn't strike a deal because he wanted local cash.

I was with the family and honestly didn't want to mess with it.

I guess anybody in the Columbus area, with $10k cash could pick this one up. Surprised nobody in that area, hasn't snatched it up yet.

Well, I’m sure we’ll be seeing that with a cleanup on one of the auction sites soon for $50k

Are you? I am not quite so sure. A pawnbroker who should be able to do his homework selling something suspiciously below its supposed market value (but around its value as a -67). A seller removing the caseback to confirm the iteration but not the dust cover to look at the movement or serial? I would say there is a very good chance that is no Ultraman. Even if it were, $30-35K seems more the mark these days.

Not all pawn brokers know the nuances- hell, I’ve owned a Speedy for 18 years and never heard of an “Ultraman” until last year. The watch has wear and tear comensurate with years of being worn as a tool watch, not a safe queen. It ended up at a pawnbroker, not a jewelry store or watch dealer- would anyone who would take the time to doctor a fake second hand to look like a an Ultraman dump it at a pawnbroker, or if they knew what it was not try to get a premium?
