Any rumors of a new Diver 300m?

Heft was not part of the DNA of the first generation of the current line of SMP's. The 2531.80, released in 1993 and produced until 2006, had very reasonable dimensions. 41mm case (and bezel), 47mm lug to lug, and 11.8mm thick. This is the SMP that put Omega back on the map after wandering in the quartz crisis wilderness through the 80s and early 90s. At the same time Omega also produced this model in a 36.25mm case.

If one wants heft they can look to the Planet Ocean as it's a 600m diver.
When I said heft is part of the design language I meant that dive watches are built bigger than most other watches because of their intended purpose. I wasn't advocating for bigger. I just accept that if I want a modern dive watch it's going to be relatively larger than most other watches.

That looks too big on you, don't you think? 馃榾

Nah that one is too small and this one is too big

Guess I'll just have to suffer as clearly no size works for me

You need something 41.5mm in diameter.

Love the Seaweed. One of my favorites.

Too bad you already have one, since this one is clearly too big I think I'll have to give it away! 馃槅

But seriously, I love it too. It's tied for my favorite watch with my summer blue heritage.

The Summer Blue watches are quite spectacular. Photos don't do them justice. Neither does watch showroom lighting. They really come into their own in sunlight. That's a great looking watch. Congrats.

I was in the Omega boutique in London's Regent Street last week. They told me that a new Seamaster 300 diver was imminent but they couldn't share any further details.

IS this real though? Where is it from?
Sorry, should have specified.

There is currently a very active thread on the r/OmegaWatches subreddit. Not sure if I鈥檓 allowed to link it here.

A different one from the one a year ago and recent Bond releases?

As much as I would like to see the a new smp300 come out soon, hard to feel confident that some random poster from Australia
getting an invite from a random boutique in Brisbane means there is a launch coming. Much more likely the boutique is just doing an event as boutiques often do.

Yes. As is common to discussions like this most people are asking for the impossible or asking for things with no regards to how design Dimensions actually work
I鈥檓 hoping for more down force. Omega only seems to care about straight line speed but they lose too much time in cornering.

Interesting, a new Bond audio series comes out October 29, 2026. A new bond novel comes out November 17, 2026, and an announcement on the new movie bond coming later this year. Hmmm, seems like this Omega event of Nov. 27th has a Bond tie in.

Exactly. if they'd add just a touch more camber to the lugs and especially to the front, they'd pick up significant cornering speed. We also need more dome for that beautiful airflow.

I wonder if the announcement means another Seamaster is coming or if a truly new Seamaster is.

Or if it's another rampant rumor with no basis in reality.
