Any Omega fans NOT interested in the Speedmaster? If so, why?

....

it's like being in a nice living room with lots of good people - and then there is a turd in the middle of the floor everyone is talking about.

Steady on old chap, you really shouldn’t put yourself down like that in polite company.

All you wish for is that they would take this object to a chambre séparée and talk about it there. But they don't.

Tons of threads here having nothing to do with Speedmasters. Seems like you're ignoring those though in favor of bashing a popular watch that other people have a right to be enthusiastic about, especially on an Omega forum.

This is a curious behavior, one that I'll never understand - when you see a thread about the Speedmaster, do you feel compelled to open it even though you know that it is a watch you are not interested in?

I am not a fan of Rolex watches, and so rather than spend my time on TRF or VRF badmouthing their enthusiasm, I just don't log on. A lot easier than taking the time and effort to get into internet fights, really

So this is the second time you've brought this up.. But why are you so obsessed with accusing people of being autistic? This isn't even about watches anymore. Have you ever dealt with anyone that was disabled? You're being a complete tool. No offense of course.

Agreed - my nephew has an autistic son and this subject is no joke. I get that some people don't care for the Speedmaster, but @Gstp is crossing a line that decent people don't cross. Calling him a tool is being far too generous...

Well quite. A tool, has an obvious use... 😉

I think that @Gstp has achieved something interesting. Before he posted, you could feel on this thread a hint of disagreement between the people that like the Speedmaster and the people that don't.
Now we're all united in thinking that @Gstp is a dickhead. No offense.

I dare you Speedmaster lovers - take a autism test and post your results here...I bet no less than 6 of 10 will get test result telling them they've got a hint of ASD - cause you cannot be so hung up in something so boring and dull looking and be without such traits. Prove me wrong !

I love Omega watches and would spend a lot of time discussing them in this fine forum if it were not for all the Speedmaster talk, it's like being in a nice living room with lots of good people - and then there is a turd in the middle of the floor everyone is talking about. All you wish for is that they would take this object to a chambre séparée and talk about it there. But they don't.

I don't know if you are serious or not, but you have the choice to participate in only threads that interest you. There is no point in posting anti-Speedmaster rhetoric as a continuous barrage or attempting to stir-up support for a broad dislike. What is it you hope to gain? This is an Omega forum and the Speedmaster is a significant part of Omega heritage. If you can't comply with the spirit of the forums, then perhaps this is not the place for you. Give it some thought.

Al,
Not a lot of things in this world offend me or rub me the wrong way, but this certainly does. I've never tolerated bullying or picking on the disabled or even joking about it. Sounds like @MaiLollo has a term that more closely resembles @Gstp.

I believe @Gstp is now the turd in the middle of the floor.

Well, the thread title did ask for Omega collectors who have no interest in the Speedmaster. That seems to be asking for negative opinions.

Now, the comments about autism.... well, that's going a bit too far. Bald jokes? Fire away. Height jokes? Have at it! Handicapped humor just isn't humorous to many people.

EDIT: I'm the resident dickhead here. 😁

Man, it's like this thread was made for Denis. Yet there he is, actively participating, but keeping his cool.

What's your trick Denis? Yoga?

Blondes, Brunettes, Red Heads, Dark and sultry ... Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation, DeVille... why would you want to limit yourself?

Just say’n.

No offense (hahaha!), but most of youze guyz are amateur dickheads. We've had this discussion before, you know. I see some major potential in a few of you though - ConElPueblo and Dennisthemenace come to mind first. 😁 😜

@tyrantlizardrex and I have been trying! You missed some epic “prototype” watch threads, as well as another that may or may not be a troll or just epic language failure.

Either teach us master or I challenge you to a ploprof slap fight at dawn!

I've been trying to catch up on the interesting threads by searching terms like "dickhead", "uncle", and "arse". 😜

Well maybe take a look at some of the Gr**l Speedmaster threads (I won’t use the word as I think it inappropriate) posted by the OP. They always end well. The ‘prototype’ dial one is particularly interesting. Strangely all Gr**l threads end in a fight whoever starts them. The watch is cursed.

My personal favorite was for a watch that was a special “preproduction” built in Italy from spare parts but sold before the Watch was released with a later serial number and missing LE engraving when the guy disproved his own point but failed to see it or something equally insane and circular. It was truly insane.
