Just don’t buy a car right now. Anything worth owning is too expensive.

My Prime has a 10k tax credit, which will likely expire 2nd qtr this year. It gets nearly 4x gas mileage as the lexus I sold, which I sold for more than I paid 3 years ago. Plus the Prime has 42 miles EV range, which is most of my driving (better carbon foot print.)

It's also more modern, which means old guy lane change and warnings for not running over pedestrians.

I disagree with your blanket assessment, but agree that paying over msrp is crazy right now, as well as prices in general.

I am thinking about ordering a P300 with the 3 off-road options, and I was wondering if there are any owners here and their thoughts. (photo is the color scheme I am thinking about)

Thanks!

Daughter has one, i'll ask her how she finds it 🤦

I've owned many Land Rovers a Series 3 petrol was may favorite, it had a fairy overdrive had 8 forward gears and 2 reverse, had free wheeling hubs giving 2wd and 4wd, it was on a Q plate ( engilsh version of year of indeterminate manufacture) as it was ex military (light weight) it had a 90 body on it... it was ace, 15 MPG every where no matter how you drove it, I had 75 MPH out of it (down hill on the M62) It was like doing the landspeed record, it became alive after 65 MPH.... it was a blurr of noise, vibration and terror. I went on later in life to end up racing Super BIkes, even doing support Races for Moto GP and WSB in 2008-9 at Donnington.... nothing ever came close to that 75MPH in my S3.

But what I don’t quite understand, is: once a week my regular dealer is emailing me better and better deals to trade in my 2020 expedition for a brand new one, at MSRP and 0% financing, which would result in my monthly payment being lowered by ~$100/month

I’m not doing it only because my 2020 already has 0% financing and only 18,000 miles, and I don’t owe a lot on it.

But I’ve been half questioning if in this increasing interest environment whether I should refresh my 0% loan and reduce my monthly payment regardless if increasing my note.

Me likey. Don't see anything on expected pricing, though...?
If you have to ask 😉. They would be competing with 110k plus customs so I’d start there.

I don’t have any experience of Defenders but the Discovery I owned 2011 - 2019 was a pain. True that when they work they are amazing bits of kit that really tackle the worst of conditions with ease and comparative comfort. But I had so many problems and lack of dealer interest (in the UK) that I would never buy a JLR again. I know that a lot of JLR owners complain about the build quality and I would be one of them but you see a lot of them in the UK and assume it is a matter of luck.

Yes you are correct. Looks on par with LR 110 pricing, or a similarly equipped Bronco for that matter.

I was once asked how my Series 3 drove..."like a lathe"
Hahahahahaahah love it.

If you have ever worked on a big lathe that is a freaking perfect description! They are unique machines to be around.
