路I find it more effective to tell them I am very interested and asking them to hold for a sec...then I leave them there on hold until the finally hang up themselves. I'll allow them to hear me typing not the computer or place the phone by the TV if something amazing like the housewives of Atlanta is playing...their time is money, so I just waste as much of it as I can.
