Looks like it. If I remember correctly it was inside a box for a Seamaster 1956 Melbourne Olympics displayed here https://omegaforums.net/threads/lets-make-the-ultimate-omega-box-thread.26615/page-5 So it probably belonged to the watch as it was unused.
I am looking for a matching buckle for my 1958 Connie. So far, I have found these two: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EARLY-OM..._trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&autorefresh=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network and https://www.chrono24.dk/omega/spnde-buckle-16mm-14k-yellow-gold--id7266003.htm Which would you think was the "correct" one - if any? BTW, the prices seem somewhat high, I think. Other sources would be highly appreciated.
Second one is correct style, but I can’t see any detail on the hallmarks. I have no clue on the first one, other than I thought that UK gold items needed a full set of hallmarks, which I don’t see here. gatorcpa
Hi experts! Can somebody tell me, are the buckles on the picture authentic? And from wich period? The seller say it's from an old closed watch maker.
If they were mine, I would probably try selling for 20-30 € a piece. But you can find them for twice the price on eBay. I haven't conducted a "sold items" search, though.
After this, I promise not to post any more "fake or real" buckle questions :-D What do you say to this on a 1958 Connie? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-NO...que-gold-filled-Vintage-Genuine/202258919583?Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Thanks, gatorcpa! You are quite right, but I haven't been able to find any other candidates at that price level. And I am 160 posts short of posting in the WTB forum
So are they fake or not? I’m a total newb on this subject. Just bought a 1959 Seamaster Chronograph and really want an original buckle that is contemporary. Where should I look? Is this seller legit?
This SS buckle was delivered to me from a certified Omega dealer in 2004. If @Aryen ’s is fake, what about mine? I agree that the "B SWISS" is sharper and more well-defined on mine....
You can get these modern ones (previous post) off cousins uk too. I asked my AD if I could get a 16mm wide buckle for the strap of my chronostop. The AD said he would have to send it to Omega to get the correct size and it would take eight weeks even though I new the width.....
