Great - thanks for the info. Can you tell me how you can tell that it is original? Then I've learned something too. 😀

Shape is right, Pin is right, logo is right, looks old, and theres no faking the big fat ugly tarnished springbar!

It looks right to me as well.

It is odd that there are no markings on the reverse but I think there are a lot of variations of the buckles so it does not surprise me that some exist without any markings.

Enjoy!

Good morning !
This thread is huge and it seems Omega really created a LOT of different buckle combinations.
I am trying to confirm this buckle is real. Pictures are pretty bad so I may order and send better pictures when I get it.
Signs on the inside look like others I have seen on this thread but it is so blurry I cannot tell.

As always, thanks for your help.

Tom

I think it’s a legit later “B” but clearer pictures would help. Shape and logo look ok. Scroll back to last part of original post of this thread there is photo of this from the thread

Thank you very much for this.
While searching, I also found a lot of this specific buckle with no markings except « stainless steel » despite it being gold colored. None on the original post had this. It looked printed on the buckle also.

If it’s marked stainless or Acier Inox and it’s gold that’s a sure sign of a fake. I have a couple of those from my learning curve….

Is it legit? Is it from the 50’s?
Legit
Early MG style hard to accurately date them. Period correct for 50’s and early 60’s I think
Do you have specific Watch to pair it with?

This one with Ek-Pat and Taybrite marking. Some saya it is fake. Wonder why a fake could have those markings.

While I have not seen one of these it is represented as original in the first large post here. I think markings look ok I would vote original. See what others think

I'm looking for 18k 18mm rose gold buckles. Do they exist in vintage category?

Yes they exist but much less common. 18 mm even rarer. Often they are replated.

Any recommendations about where to search for or source an 18k 18mm rose gold buckle? Thanks in advance.

Set up EB search. You need 200 meaningful posts here before you can set up WTB post- but you can certainly follow the parts and accessories thread here and DM a seller and buy there as well. 18K much rarer than gold plated- I would include that in search as well. Heres an example of rose gold plated (16mm) looks ok with 18K watch to me
