Well done! They're hard to find, but they do finish the 1940s Omegas off beautifully. I have several but am always looking for more 😀

very little info to find about these older ones, they seem to have disappeared, does anyone have more sizes to show? (these are 14&16mm).
They are really the cherry on the cake! 😍

I've gone through, admittedly not read word for word the 60+ pages of this thread and can only see the type of buckle below only mentioned 3-4 times. it's for a 14mm end strap and wondered if there is any conclusion to what era this is from? I'm looking to add it to my early 70's square case Geneve

I've been meaning to gather mine for a group photo for a long time! 🙂

Would you be interested in selling the gold-plated buckle second from the right in the 16mm row?

Does anyone know what the "B" buckle maker stands for? I always thought it was for Brogioli, but it may also be Boucledor. Wondering if anyone has any more information.

Hola a todos, intentando proporcionar más información sobre las hebillas Omega, he encontrado varias que no tienen impresa ninguna de las marcas habituales, como MG, AW, EK... sino OMEGA. ¿Qué les parece? Parecen antiguas. Saludos.

Hello everyone, trying to provide more information about Omega buckles, I have found several that do not have any of the usual brands printed, such as MG, AW, EK... but OMEGA. What do you think? They look old. Greetings.
Google Translate is your friend!

This type of buckle was made in the USA for watches cased and sold there. I believe they were also used on Omega branded replacement watch bands sold here. Dates from the 1950’s or 1960’s.

¡Google Translate es tu amigo!

Este tipo de hebilla se fabricaba en EE. UU. para relojes fabricados y vendidos allí. Creo que también se usaban en correas de repuesto de la marca Omega que se vendían aquí. Data de los años 50 o 60.

Here is my 68’ seamaster on the 1948 limited edition buckle from my local omega boutique, it originally came stainless steel and was able to get it plated. I think it matches well, and for any of those who are searching for an original item tang buckle with a vintage feel I think this would be a great option!

Can you please tell me if this is an original buckle? (I hope it is vintage enough for this topic)

I asked this question in a different way on another thread, then it occurred to me that the buckle experts might be able to help, too.

Given that the Seamaster 120 pictured below is from the ‘60’s, would you guess the buckle shown is16mm, or 18mm? Thanks.

I’ve not owned this watch. Are the lugs 20mm? If so I would suggest that the buckle is 18mm as the taper does not appear to be very exaggerated. Where I have 18mm going to 14mm there is a very clear taper. I would suggest this is 20mm/18mm or 18mm/16mm depending on the lug size.

I believe they’re 19mm lugs. I can tell if the lack of strap taper is just an artifact of the photo. I was also hoping if one of our resident buckle experts could note if 18mm buckles were even common in the 1960’s.
