You have answered all my questions. Great job on detail and content. Are the gold spring bars marked in anyway?

No they are not and generally the tongue is not marked either.

Something pretty rare, a solid gold buckle from a French cased watch. The buckle has the omega logo and the eagle hallmark (French hallmark for 18k). It has been made by PGF, the famous maker - but I still do not know who it is! - who also made the watch it came with. I have only seen one buckle like this one on eBay and it was not cheap!

This buckle found its way to my home with the watch and the original band...

What a fantastic thread...trust OF to provide just the detailed resources I was looking for....and on that note here's today's arrival which I'm exicted to pair with my 145.012. Would this be roughy period correct??

Hello guys!
I know I may look foolish, but I'll take my chances and ask...are any of these buckles, by any means, genuine ? 😒

Hi,
I am not an expert in modern buckles, but I don't like the spring bars at all.
I would vote for fakes.

I would date roughly those buckles to the mid sixties to the early seventies. So it must be ok for... 1967, I guess.

Wow great compilation! Does anyone know what buckle originally came with a solid gold '60s Constellation Ref.168.004/14 SC? The lugs are 17mm but I'm having trouble getting info on the buckle size and shape, it probably was solid gold I'm guessing

Bought a drawer from a retired watchmaker. A lot of 6mm - 12mm junk but also nice buckles.

Never saw the wide pin version.

The big logo (on strap) is by far my favorite.

Nice big logo. The 6mm-12mm isn't junk if it has an Omega logo on it!

Hi all!!

I pray this forum can be a tad more helpful than the WUS forum.. ( All they talk about is Speedmasters and PO's..)

I have recently acquired a 1968 Constellation, and want to make it semi original.. I'm looking to acquire an Omega buckle for it.

So far I'm looking at these two

1: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222609997716

2: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222630063915

I love the look of both, but I semi think that #2 is fake..

Thoughts??

Thank you so much!
Ross
