Hi Ross - Welcome to the forum.

    Both are counterfeit.

Actually pretty much all of the buckles offered by this seller are reproductions.

My intuition says something is wrong, but I am not sure.
Maybe the no space between acier and inox ?

Yes it is well done fake, look at the S in Swiss and the MG marking.

I have read through and looked at this thread (3) times, but I still can't tell if this is a genuine Omega buckle.

Please tell me whether or not this Omega buckle is genuine. If it is genuine can someone tell me if this would be the correct buckle for a 1950's Omega Seamaster?

    Thanking you in advance.

    Dall

I have a bad intuition about that one. I’ll sleep on it.

I have news that corroborate my theory. Swiss manufacturer are less Swiss (or square if you prefer) then we thought. We all live in the fear of buying fakes and frankens (including me) and start sweating when something is not like in the book or the forum...

Yesterday I bought 50 N.O.S. Longines buckles, some still in the manufacturer's box.
And guess what ? In the same box, some have one hallmark and some have none. Furthermore the other buckles of a different size have two hallmarks. Could any collector have imagined that in his worst nightmare ?
    Here are the pics....

Box + Buckles from the box :

Some have no hallmark at all.

The other ones of bigger size without a box :

Is it fake? Could you suggest me some honest seller for a 16mm (and maybe a 18mm too) buckle? :)
