Pics of a modern style MG. Buckles:

Would anyone care to make an educated guess as to (approximately) when the transition to these modern MG style buckles was made? I've been browsing old catalogues but they hardly ever show buckles clearly enough.

Hello,
it is a superb information source, but I would need answers more specifically.

I have (in fact I am going to have) a cal 30T2 gold, something like this: https://www.poshtime.com/watches/3024.031d.jpg
The watch is without strap and buckle, therefore I would like to complete them as much possible the same way as they were in the past, so I have 3 questions regarding this:
1) What type/kind of a gold (solid or more probably gold plated) buckle was as original for these type of watches? (could you please copy to the answer the image of the most probable versions?)
EDIT: I have just founded out, that before 1950 there were original buckles without the logo, and with a text omega on the back.

2) What size of buckle was original (the watch-end size of the strap is 19,6 (so 20 mm) width)? I would say 18 or 20mm, and that is got to be a problem as I read that old 18 mm麓s are extremely rare... 馃檨
EDIT: I have to check out once again the width of the watches, but I will have a chance in best in 1st week of January.

3) ...and where can I get one? 馃榾
EDIT: those old ones will be probably to find even harder...

Thank you in advance for your help!
Karel

If any of you would have the old, without logo with label, gold plated or gold buckle in 18 mm or 20 mm width I am interested...

Just out of curiosity is the 18mm buckle really that rare? I have one marked with the MG logo in the bottom of my watch box and I really can't imagine me being in possession of something "rare"

You have answered all my questions. Great job on detail and content. Are the gold spring bars marked in anyway?

You sure it's the inside measure of the buckle?

No, but it is easy to see the difference for there is generally wear on the plating when it is not gold

Yes, I am sorry. Don't know what has gotten into me 馃榾

The buckle is wider than my standard 16mm and measures as per the photo 18mm inside the buckle. I am pretty sure it is genuine based on the logo (partial though as it looks like the inside of the buckle as worn or has been polished) and the shape. What do you think?
