Thank you. That sounds logic. (I have always assumed that an American "14k" would be solid gold - if nothing follows this marking.)
That is correct.

Could this possibly be original buckle? Looking something as old as possible for my Omega Naiad 1937. Not sure if this is stainless, but looks like there are no markings at all and looks old.

Lovely tread, thanks a lot!

Am looking for a buckle to my 1965 Seamaster. After reading this tread think this one is from the 60s-70s.

Now I wonder:
Do you have a smaller production span?
And for witch market it’s made?

Sorry for the bad pics.

I found this one on auction but i have never seen this style of buckle before with the Omega logo in a square. What are your thoughts on it? From what era do you guys think it may originate from?

My Seamaster Quartz cal. 1430 that I bought from new in 1988 came with that buckle. I still use the watch - with that buckle.

Found a seller who got these. The silver one sold for about 30€. At first look the markings seemed right. But wat do you say, don’t they look a bit wobbly?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a vintage steel 16mm buckle for a 1945 bumper auto (ref 2374/6) -- does anyone have one for sale?

Or advice/a photo or link to precisely what I should be hunting?

Many thanks,
Con

I've seen them online on watches of early '50. Don't know if they go back to 1945 as well

No, absolutely not!

The advised buckle is much later, end 60s and 70s - this would be a waste of money... take your time to learn and then decide to buy.

thanks mac - is there a buckle that you could point me towards? It's for a ref. 2374-6 similar to the photo (but w/out radial numerals).

I thought this buckle was genuine but after seeing one in a Classified described as a fake, I'm no longer sure. Would be glad of opinions from those who know more than I do. I can't even remember where I got this or how much I paid, so if it's a fake it's not a big deal financially, just a bummer that my only "Omega" buckle isn't. Sorry about photo quality, not my area of expertise....
