Apollo 11 50th Bracelet Fit on 3861 Speedmaster

I just ordered the Apollo 11 50th bracelet for my 3861 Speedmaster. I'm struggling to get decent pictures of the bracelet mounted on the 3861 and how you need to modify it in order to get it to fit properly on the case.

Can anyone please provide me with some pictures and a guide on how to get it to fit on my watch?

it still comes down to modifying the lip as I haven't seen the lip thing on the 3861 case.

I didn't fit to a 3861 so I can't offer the best advice, but because the modification is similar what I can say is, take material removal slow and check for any sharp burrs before a test fit.

It really should not be that much different though, considering that the 3861 bracelet does fit the 1861 case without modification. So whatever modification made to the A11 50th, should be similar.

I do mind that. I'd rather modify the Apollo 11 endlinks slightly than have an overhang. Although, I believe it will fit with slightly thinner springbars.
Some have had success with 1.6mm springbars, others not so lucky. Just depends on how the tolerances add up.

I'd bet really good money that just a tiny amount of work with a file and 1.6mm springbars would result in a good fit abd very little material removal.

I myself do not like the idea of modifying anything on a 8-9-10k watch, and aftermarket is also a no-go. But everyone's different.

It's just the removable endlink on a 700USD bracelet though, not a modification to an 8K watch.

Mine is on the way and I'm having the end links modified. I also have Forstner end links while I wait.

Sweet. Please take pics and show me how you modified it. I'm going to find an expert here in Taipei to do it, so I need clear instructions for them.

I'm sending the A11 end links and a factory end link to a machinist to have them them make the modification. My friend there said they'd probably 3D map them and CNC them. Seem pretty small for that but he seemed pretty sure they could do it

Don't know what to say, it fit with no modifications. I used the spring bars from the factory bracelet, though, if that makes a difference. Figured I'd keep the new springbars as new and unused.

The springbars should be the same. How does it look from the the bottom, no tilt?
