300MC update imminent?

Went into the AD in Cambridge this afternoon for a gander properly and test out all the long lugs / faux patina in person.

A local to Cambridge? I've found the gentleman easier to work with, if its the same lady who I spoke to last time I was in, I felt like she was looking down at me 馃檨

I'd be interested to know what the negotiation is if you go ahead once it's in 馃憤

Ely - I鈥檝e sometimes dealt with the AD in Bury too but Cambridge is the place I naturally go to for some reason.

It was the Asian lady, I think she was called Helen, she was very pleasant and accommodating but I got the feeling she didn鈥檛 know too much about Omega, but then again it鈥檚 not an Omega specialist shop - she thought my FOIS was an original Speedy, which I sort of gave her credit for, in a way.

I鈥檒l keep you posted on negotiations on the 300mc. (Also asked her to get the ceramic/titanium SMP in from HQ just to try on - love the look but out of my price range 馃槜)

Ha! Soham... lived in Ely previously, perhaps we should catch-up for a beer some time?

My dealings weren't with Helen 馃憤

I tend to pop into Cambridge, Bury and Norwich...

This is exactly how I feel -- I would love a watch that has the size and dimensions of the trilogy, but with the indented dial features and ceramic bezel of the 300MC.

Also curiously, the basic steel model of the 300MC on bracelet is listed as not being available on the Omega website: https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/...00-omega-master-co-axial-41-mm-23330412101001
Don鈥檛 panic, it鈥檚 still available in Europe. 馃槜

Exactly. There are photoshopped pictures on which the lume is made to look white and it absolutely destroys this watch's appeal. While Omega overdid it on the Trilogy pieces and the new Bond imo, the much lighter sand colored lume on the 300MCA looks great.
Exactly my opinion. The watch and the dial is supposed to be as it is and it鈥檚 perfect the way it is! 馃憤

I鈥檝e been eyeing this watch for quite a long time and got one on order, patiently waiting for it to arrive.

Does anybody know, how much it weighs without the bracelet?

From another corner of the watch internet, I've heard that one AD has offered a steep discount on a new 300MC, but final sale. Another data point suggesting an imminent update?

Mine weighs 106 g on the DSOM cordura strap with deployant. Should be too much different on the leather strap.

Hmm... a bargaining chip when I go back to the AD next week perhaps. How steep is steep do you think?

Ernest Jones in the UK has recently had pretty hefty reductions on different 300MC models - the stainless steel was around 拢3600, but I managed to nab the titanium for just over 拢4k. Certainly looked to me like they were looking to clear their stock...

Great catch with the titanium, I procrastinated too long and then it was out of stock, enjoy!

Thanks @Ian_km. I procrastinated on the stainless steel 300 and was kicking myself for it, and the titanium kept going in and out of stock but I think I just lucked out... The branch that had stock were up-front saying that the bracelet has some hairline scratches, but I should be getting one or two Omega natos thrown in to make up for it (time will tell if they honour that...). As I was considering brushing the PCLs anyway I think that works out as a pretty good result!

With regards to the faux patina, you can see here just how little faux patina there is on it when compared to the NTTD watch....

It might be a good idea to vistit omega.com 馃槈
Pardon? Sorry if I'm obtuse but I've never seen that rubber strap on this watch from Omega, and I don't see it on omega.com. The Omega site isn't always the clearest to navigate, so if you have a link to that strap, please share. I believe it is an aftermarket strap, and appears to be the Hirsch Accent strap, which I discovered on my own after asking the question: https://www.hirschstraps.com/products/hirsch-accent-natural-rubber-watch-strap-black

The strap is not rubber. Could be mistaken, but that is the latest James Bond edition Semaster. That fabric strap is for that model. Again, I could be altogether wrong. I think the website depicts this.

You're describing the wrong picture. Rainking wasn't asking about the 2 watches on NATO. Rainking was asking about a different picture which showed the MC on a rubber strap.
