I posted some details of a project of mine on 6 September 2024. I said.....

I thought I would share a project I'm working on in restoring this watch. For clarification: when I say restoring, I mean talented others are doing the work, I just pay.

I bought a spares or repair 105.003-65 SP at auction in July,2024

Movement 25,441,xxx
Dial A7 close T
Caseback ok
Case scuffed and not too polished
Bracelet 1035 with 506 ends
Everything else is missing or wrong

Off to watchmakers ..... movement seems to be running ok; fingers crossed
Managed to get a set of original 4.5mm pushers and original hands from an Omega owner who always wants his watch like new after he sends it for service. He's happy having service parts fitted.
The plots at 5 and 6 o'clock are poor, so I've sent the dial and hands off to a dial specialist to see if the dial can be cleaned up / recovered.. No work done yet.

Anyway, the dial needed tlc and relumed the indices. Hands matched to relumed indices.
Full service. New mainspring.
Used spare bezel, crystal, and crown which I had.
Total cost to me excluding new leather strap = GBP 4,710

Before everyone starts jumping on my bones about this being a Frankenwatch, I will never try to pass this watch of as original or a one owner special. This is simply a watch I have brought back from the edge and is, as far as I know, correct. BTW, I know the crown is wrong. Maybe in the future ......

Congratulations on rescuing this Ed White - quite a transformation!

Who performed the dial relume? Do you have any close up photos of the plots you can share (curious to see the texture of those plots)?

The dial relume was done by James Hyman, Alchemist Relumer, Northumberland, UK. He is very approachable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Planning to send him my 145.022, but I am bit worried about sending the clock, so many stories on this forum of clocks lost/delayed in the mail😱
The dial looks amazing

That’s quite a transformation!

The Ed White was initially the only Speedmaster I wanted. Loved the clean dial sans Professional. Could never find an example to my liking and didn’t have the knowledge to go the restoration route.

You did quite well with that. Wear it in good health.
