··IG: #blubarb19Heads up to those selling to the USA from outside the USA - I am in Australia so I am not sure how it woks from other non USA countries but I am hearing it is pretty much the same dog but a different leg.
Sending from Australia to the USA through AusPost to the USA has become a little more up front for American buyers and a little more complex for the seller here downunder. For the USA buyer There will be the tariff paid to the seller at time of purchase, plus, unless the seller absorbs it (which I doubt), a further 10% of the tariff charged by Zonos as their fee. Australia post has linked ONLY with Zonos to allow for this to occur; unfortunately there is no other known option if a seller wants to send via the most inexpensive service in Australia. Which I might add is very reliable to the USA - mileage varies 😀 So, from my understanding, a the non refundable tariff and fee is to be taken from the seller's account on landing in the USA. I suspect sellers won't be keen to absorb that extra10%. I think the tariff has dropped though.
These seem to be the leading points for those outside of the USA:
I also found this tucked away in the Zonos info - for those in Australia selling to the USA:
Is it getting better or not for American watch enthusiasts and collectors who like to shop in the world market place??

These seem to be the leading points for those outside of the USA:
- The duty prepayment threshold is increasing from $800 USD to $2,500 USD on the 24th July 2026
Currently, U.S. CBP requires duties to be prepaid on postal shipments valued at $800 USD or less. To fulfill this requirement, Zonos currently bills you for the associated duties on shipments valued at $800 or less, then remits those duties to CBP. - Starting July 24, that requirement extends to all postal shipments valued at $2,500 USD or less. Because Zonos is responsible for remitting those duties to U.S. CBP on your behalf, Zonos will start billing you for the associated duties on any shipment valued at $2,500 USD or less that arrives in the U.S. on July 24 or later.
- For example, a $1,000 USD shipment to the U.S. today does not require duties to be prepaid. After July 24, it will, and you'll see those duties on your Zonos billing.
- The duty rates are changing.
- The global Section 122 tariff is expiring July 24. Today, all of your postal shipments to the U.S. are assessed a flat 10% duty regardless of what you sell. This is due to the global 10% Section 122 tariff, which expires July 24, and the temporary treatment where postal shipments do not incur standard duty costs.
