Besides that, your watch looks good. I think that crown is not original to this reference, though. And that bracelet, but this has already been mentioned.

The same dial has been for sale on ebay lately and the hands are available from Omega -> depending on what's inside it can be a whole put together pile of parts or an all correct watch with a bogus seller listing. We'll know more when you'll show more. 👍

@kov : tell me you’ve seen that dial in the stainless steel case of that reference where you were sure it was authentically original? You are much more knowledgeable than I am with these, but I’ve never seen that dial in a stainless steel version of that reference.

Those dials, as you’ve commented, have been for sale on eBay, off and on, for some time. Given the serial number, which I’m betting is what’s actually on the movement, I wonder how much of an assembly this might really be.

Unfortunately I can't. 😵‍💫 You're right : it's a yellow gold case dial, not stainless steel. 👍

The more he's reading this thread, the scarier the situation looks to be for OP 😬

yep, I've also only seen those dials in a gold cased / plated 145.016. Note the gold highlights on the indices here... 😬

Your scenario seems more likely the case... watch should be arriving in a couple hour through FedEx... kinda disappointed, but lesson learned... this seller has tons of feedback on different forums but mostly deals with Rolex's. I'll upload pics of the watch the moment it arrives... good thing they have a "no questions asked" refund policy for online sales. Thanks again for all your expertise. I'll be updating soon.

Side note... as crazy as this fiasco has been, it's been fun reading and investigating(thanks to all you guys)... the fun sometimes in watch collecting is the "hunt". Here's a watch I searched for a looong time but eventual sold early this year for someone else to enjoy 😀.

Very curious to hear how this turns out, quite surprised as Bobs watches is usually pretty good and knowledgeable

Anyone can make a mistake. But I am surprised that they continued to indicate that the listing was 100% correct once the apparent discrepancy was pointed out. I think it would have been in their best interest to clear things up before shipping

The case is in incredible condition. Can you confirm that the hands and dial furniture are gold? Or is it the lighting?

Two things:

A 1175 bracelet looks different

On the caseback of my -016s there is no "Waterproof Tested 60 m" engraved!

Btw: Matching braclet for these watches is a 1116 with 548 endlinks

Good eye, I didn't even look at the clasp. That bracelet is a put-together, which puts things in a different light. Somebody is putting parts together for sure.

My vote goes to a pile of service and vintage parts put together... everything looks put together.

You know, I would never have thought to take a vintage watch to an Omega AD for authentication. Do you think they actually know anything? Any time I’ve talked with someone at an AD I don’t get the impression that they are at all knowledgeable about vintage pieces.
