Lewis should give it one more year and if he doesn't radically improve, just retire and take the glory.

·Total McLaren cockup on the safety car. Happy for Sainz, great drive. Max is the best driver out there, period. Abu Dhabi will tell the tale in seven days.

·For the first time in a looooong while I’m absolutely rooting for Max, what a comeback season! MCL has been cooked for a while having 2 extremely competitive drivers and unwilling to back one. It cost them dearly today. The way Max attacked that first corner says it all. He’s not wrong is saying that if he was driving a MCL the drivers championship would have been locked up long ago.

··Ash @ ΩFAt this point I think I'm a Verstappen fan until 2026, if he pulls it off there's going to have to be a movie about it one day, how they could bottle it so badly and put him of all people in that mediocre Red Bull within striking distance of his fifth championship is insane.

Marko is a shit stirring fuckwit, can safely ignore anything he has to say. Obvious to anyone with a brain Antonelli was just racing, Toto is spot on.
I have to say, this year has been frustrating. The McLaren engineers deserve their WCC for building such a mega car, but in more competent hands that car would have wrapped both championships races ago. I don't just mean the drivers, the pit wall team as well. If they do win the WDC I think it will be hands down the least deserved WDC win in the modern era.
As far as the drivers, Piastri's drop off in performance is difficult to excuse. He's had a few years at this now, last year it was the tyre wear, this year it was the low grip tracks, he is improving but it's hard to argue he's had the measure of Lando this year, and I rate Lando easily the lowest of the top drivers. Max, Charles, George all would have walked it home in a McLaren seat against either of these two.
If anyone can achieve the miracle it's Max, but it's out of his control. He needs a McLaren fuckup. Thankfully they're pretty common...
