Really? Why well deserved?
Oh, I don't know....talent, ability to regain focus and humility to name a few. I take it you're not a fan?

Norris and Piastri are talented drivers, but the team almost fumbled their dominant performance away through screwy strategy, winning by only two points over Max who had zero support from RBs second car, that's why I questioned the 'well deserved' description. Congrats to Norris, but it should have been more emphatic than two points. McLaren couldn't decide who to back during the season.

Verstappen 8 wins
Norris 7 wins
Piastri 7 wins
Russell 2 wins

A win is a win and becaue it was so close we finaly had a fun F1 season to watch. Unlike the one were RB won 17 or 18 races. A 6 or 7 time world champion is boring so this ML victory is good news. RB fumbled most of the season while McLaren was in the lead most of the season so a Perfectly deserved F1 Championship.

McLaren would be wrong to play favorites. Only cause friction next year. Winning the drivers nets the team no money from F1.

Oh, you'll get no argument from me on that point. The "papaya rules" almost cost Norris the championship. The bottom lips of Norris and Piastri must be blue from all the biting 😉

Reports are that Marko and RBR are now divorced. Maybe now RBR can be slightly more likeable.

Well that race encapsulated this season.

By all accounts it should have been exciting, and yet was a total snooze fest.

Season was exciting but most of the races were kind of boring. I still watched nearly every single race though just because I'm a fan.

That’s my point. The season was exciting which should have meant exciting races.

The races this season were almost all complete snooze fests. I felt like I was hate watching every race. This is the first time since 2009 that I’ve not looked forward to races.

Even in the Seb era when he pulled to a lead and cruised all race the rest of the pack had exciting stuff. The AMG dominant period still had racing occurring.

This year was just meh.

2024 season saw Verstappen win 7 races in the first half of the season and only 2 in the second half. This year he won 2 in the first half and 6 in the second half. McLaren started this years success halfway through last season when they broke red bull superiority. An incredible achievement considering red bull’s dominance.
Red bull are a very resilient team and don’t make things easy for opponents.any of the 3 drivers would have deserved to be champions. Norris did it and deserved it.🏁🇬🇧👍
