From the supposed kings of marketing that really is the shittest name ever. Can you imagine the drivers having to say that in interviews... With a straight face?
True, but the full name, Visa Cash App RB, is equally dumb and unwieldy.

Apparently team members are calling it Vcarb. Which is even worse. In 2024 I will only call them Minardi, out of respect for the original team.

I hear that Andretti鈥檚 upcoming F1 team will be called Diners Club Credit Loan Application Form v2 馃槈

I see that the fantastic circuit de catalunya in Barcelona is under threat as a new street-ish circuit in Madrid has just been given rights from 2026. Personally I'm gutted - I love the Barcelona circuit and it's been a part of f1 since I can remember. Seems like more liberty meddling, and not in a good way.

Tbf, the Netflix episodes brought in a crap load of fans that F1 otherwise wouldn't have had. Money has skyrocketed since DTS came out.

Yea agreed, people forget how bad / greedy CVC capital partners were during their ownership, even Bernie at times couldn鈥檛 defend it

CVC literally did nothing but bleed F1 dry. Liberty as money grubbing as they are, is at least trying to grow the sport and not suck every dollar from F1. They're trying to grow the pie right now.

Totally agree, they are doing a better job than Bernie but they don't need to put 30 races and 15 in city made tracks, I think that what we all want is Silverstone, Spa, Suzuka and not Sotchi, Las Vegas & Madrid.

Not surprising but still seems like a lot of BS to me.
Despite general enthusiasm of Andretti joining the grid, F1 doesn't think it will add any value.
To me that is a bit of a contradiction. People want them there. It is just F1 that does not does not.
Also seems convenient that those who did not want the 11th team, did their own "commercial assessments" and determined again it would not add any value.
They of course, were objective, I'm sure. 馃檮
All about the $$$. Which I understand. But as a guy that just likes to watch some cars go zoom zoom, it's stupid.

I think it's quite simple maths from a commercial point of view. The other teams weren't convinced that an 11th team would bring in extra revenue to make up for the dilution of 1/10 to 1/11 share of the pot.

The other aspects, that may well be appealing to fans, are immaterial. It's a commercial decision, pure and simple.

Lewis to join Ferrari in 2025?!?! He must know something about an upcoming technical management change if this is true. As you'd hardly say it was a team capable of winning a championship at the moment. Car and driver maybe, tactics and management is often shoot yourself in the foot standard.

Also assume this is to replace Carlos. Interesting to see how Charles reacts.

Also could be bollocks of course. Interesting rumour none the less.

Just came to see if this was posted. Pretty shock move considering...well, everything lol.
Sky reported on it as well...

Not REALLY surprised. I think both parties have always had an interest in each other.
And I always sort of figured that Lewis would end his career with Ferrari if they'd have him.
That is of course unless he does something similar to Alonso.
Now all I need is a Seb come back!!!

OMG NO!!! He must be mad at AMG for making all of their cars I-4 cylinder hybrids and ruining the AMG brand.

Read Carlos may be tagged with Audi since Sr has done well for them at the Dakar.

I think Lewis knows he鈥檚 not going to win another driver鈥檚 championship and is thinking he may as well end up and maybe win a few races for Ferrari.

Well, Lewis would be ditching his IWC and strapping on a Richard Mille, so there's that.

You think? I would say he's done this with a view to getting no 8. I can't believe he'd knowingly move to somewhere less competitive. He just believe he'd have a genuine shout in 2025.

Edit: especially if he has to wear a RM!

He knows Mercedes isn鈥檛 competitive. Ferrari won鈥檛 be either so why not? Bigger question is who is going to replace him? 2026 before Mercedes has a chance in my book.
