Love to hear from OF members around the world as their teams play in World Cup 2026. And show your Soccer Timers also!

I鈥檒l start with Canada 馃嚚馃嚘 vs Bosnia/Herzegovina today in Toronto. Great opening ceremony with Michael Buble performance. Then pretty boring game Bosnia scored early on header from corner kick and then held on until 78 minute when Canada evened score which ended 1-1. One point for each team pundits say will need 4 points to get out of group stage. Switzerland favoured in the group they play Qatar. Canada attack looked anemic. But it is Canadas first ever point in World Cup.

I've got a feeling Australia is about to be rolled by Turkiye tomorrow in Vancouver but at least it's a cool atmosphere for the fans. As always we're in it for a good time, not a long time.

Not perfect, but a strong opening performance by the US (albeit not against such a great opponent). I am going to the US v Turkey game in 2 weeks. Anyone else?

Socceroos are underdogs, so I'd love to see them get at least a point against Turkiye. And then stick it to those US pundits who thought that it was a "blessing from the football gods" to be put in the same group as the Socceroos, by beating them on their home turf. I'm a hopeless romantic aren't I? 馃槈

I鈥檓 not venturing anywhere near downtown; fortunately for fans and visitors, BC Place stadium is located centrally. I watched the game from the comfort of home (better and cheaper frosty beverages) and was thrilled to see Australia take it 2-0. Felt a wee bit bad for Turkey as they really owned the field. Well, except for the most important part - the lower third!! Aussies defended really well. Nicely done!

Beach was great in net for the 鈥楻oos. But yesterday鈥檚 goalkeeping gold medal goes to Qatar鈥檚 netminder, Abunada. Yes, he caused the penalty kick that resulted in a goal. But the Swiss could have likely won that game by 5 goals if not for him.

Canada plays Qatar here in Vancouver on Thursday. 馃

Living in Houston, there are a lot of Mexico supporters. I hope Mexico does really good this tournament.

This seems to turn into the underdog cup. Will be interesting to see how the group stage ends

Just watched Egypt vs Belgium. Best game so far IMO. 2 lovely teams who kept trying to score for 90+minutes... which I thought was the intended purpose of the game.

Well... Cura莽ao?? There's a lot of bellyaching about a 48-team tourno, but I am loving the participation of the minnows. Think how it must feel to be that Cura莽aoan guy who netted against Germany!

Iran vs New Zealand in Tehrangels starting in an hour, normally I'm not an Iran supporter but when they're against the Kiwis, what am I meant to do? They already made the Bledisloe Cup unwatchable so it isn't like I have a choice

I've caught a couple games so far. Always cool watching the passion that is involved in the tournament.

The "hydration breaks" are utter bs. Just another chance for FIFA to line their pockets.

And speaking of passion, hopefully this guy is granted a visa.

Group H might have turned into a group of death depending on how the next round of games shake out. The last 20 minutes of Uruguay - Saudi Arabia game was a good one.

Historic day. The last time there were 4 draws on a single day at a FIFA World Cup was 68 years ago!

Turned out to be the match of the day, quality goals on both sides.
